tnx a lot, your video opened a whole new wold to me... to simple things up, all u have to do, imagine tempo in your mind, AND SIMPLY TAP A TRIPLET ON YOUR DELAY PEDAL!!! u r now ready to go RNR!!! :D
Hey thanks for this! What pedal did you use? I want to buy a pedal that has this, wah effect and things like that. can you tell me what pedal you have? thanks!
Hey Thank you much! This realy helps! now i don't have to pull my hair out while trying to figure this machine out! haha! Thanks Again! please post more videos! Be blessed!
Hey sir! Greetings from the Philippines! i have to tell you that this video is very helpfull! i have just recently bought a Boss DD 20 and i want to know if it's possible to do that "dotted" delay thing that you did with your line 6? my boss DD 20 was a gift to me and i realy want to use it for worship but i need more understanding on how to create the sound that you just did on this video. please let me know what you think. Thanks sir!
@07manonfire Hey! You can do this with just about any delay. Some, the DD20 included, have functionality to let you tap in the SONG's tempo and get the dotted-eighth delay. If you have the owners manual, check out the page on "How to Use The Tempo Function" (page 26 I think). Hope this helps. Keep working at it... you'll get it to work and will love using it.
How are you tapping in the dotted 8th? And, given that the songs have different tempos, does it need to be tapped in every song? I'm fairly new to this and would like to get the dotted 8th into one of the DL4 pre-sets but would the tempo need to be re-tapped each song?
@THEFUNDAMENTALVIEW hey, the DL4 has this setting called "rhythmic delay" that, depending on your "time" dial, will do the dotted-eigth feel for you. You tap in quarter notes and it repeats in dotted-eighths. Hope that makes sense. You could then save that to one of the presets. And yes, you tap in each song depending on its tempo, but that's the beauty of this pedal is the dedicated tap pedal. Love the pedal. Wish I owned one. :-)
Just to clarify my question -I know you talked about the verse, but it sounds much more 'single note' style on the original live recording. Thanks again!
I've not been able to pick out the note sequence during the verses of I Am Free. Could you please post them if you know? Thanks very much for a good tutorial. God Bless.
ya, you can do it with any delay. Just need to get the timing right as I've shown. I think your delay even has a setting for "dotted quarter" setting, which is what I'm trying to describe. If you have a manual for that pedal, look up dotted-quarter timing, and the use of the tap-tempo. Sounds like you have the giga-delay (??), i've heard that's a great pedal. You'll get it to work, just keep at it!
what is the name of the song you played and at the end of your video plays too? Say hi to Brazil rsrsr

(Delay wise!!!)
Great for Modulation.

for this demo, how many repeats/feedback did you use?
pneumatica3 2 years ago
Well, about 3 repeats (after it dies out, you know). But I've heard it done using more. Just gives a little different sound. Experiment!
