say what you will about the graphics, the evil andross 1st face (gave me nightmares), or the fact that that beating the game on hard was a daunting experience, not least because of the usual slowdowns that occured.

but the thing that really got me was after finishing the game to actually hear fox talk to pepper in something that resembled real words!

Err, 99.9% of games use polygons. The difference is this is low-poly untextured polygons. If you play Team Fortress 2, for example, each character is made up of polygons. Tens of thousands of polygons.

I found out in one of the Wario games, the first level of this was recreated. It's higher resolution, the edges are sharp and crisp, and it lasts only for one level. WHY CAN'T THEY RELEASE THAT AS A FULL RETRO GAME ON THE VC? I would buy it at almost full retail price.

Hah, my favorite SNES game EVER! When I first saw Andross transform into his second form, I actually screamed! Not kidding, I remember!

I had about a third of my shield and managed to pull off the kill! It was one of the most intense video game moments in my life, I wish I could relive it!

I completed the game in like 3 days. it was last thursday when my dad was replacing the cord on our snes system which is about 20 yrs old. the old cord had a short in it that made the picture fuzzy and the cartridge actually did not want to work when we got it mailed to us from a friend but my dad was testing them and got it to work and the day after I started on level one and then the the sunday this week I completed it.

This is the European release called Star Wing. I'm sure this was something the developers decided to add to this version to give the Route 3 final boss fight more of a...menacing touch. I like the giant floating demon head more than the human head for a final boss in my opinion...

I didn't expect I had to fight the demon mask of andross it got really pumped up to kick his ass even harder, I love beating this game but I never found the black holes or out of the dimension.

Ahh the memories ^^ I remember I used to play this game on my SNES all the time when I was around 7 or 8. One of the best games I've ever played imo. Also this version of the game pwns all the ones that came after it once again imo. I still have the SNES and this game too. :) I loved the music for the different levels in it. Hajime Hirasawa was a genius for them.
