turbos have long been very effective in the last 20years, while chargers have been used for the last 60+years

turbo doorslammers/funny cars are starting to pop up everywhere

@mushufreak These cars need blowers because Drag Racing is all about the launch.Turbos lag because the turbine is driven by exhaust gasses and that means the engine needs to be working before the turbo will work. Blowers are belt driven from the crank shaft, Direct drive means Instant Power.

You will notice that Turbo Drag cars Have to be on the rev limiter when they launch.
