I am hoping Rush and their people are listening. Rush will sell out Mosiac Stadium in Regina easily. I have seen the concerts in Rio and TO. We can do that in spades. It has been a long time, come back to Saskatchewan. Come to a 40,000 person concert for the ages.
Rush, they were the best. I saw them in my .Canadian City when they were first touring, At first. Regina, Saskatchewan. Then they came again when 1st 2112 came out. I was a kid, but they were the ultimate Canadian band, along with Max Webster (who by the way, Rush and Max made a song together). It is a classic. RUSH!
I saw Rush in 77 in San Diego. . A rather small concert venue--basketball arena, maybe 15 thousand. The sonic assault on the senses drove us out into the lobby. The absolute loudest band I ever witnessed. Even if you were not on drugs, after this concert your brain would be damaged into think you were tripping. A truly memorable, historic concert--Rush with Ted Nugent.
John was a pretty good drummer, and it's too bad he is treated less than that quite often because of the constant comparison to Neil, which is like comparing apples to oranges. One doesn't have to be the most complex and technical drummer to be a good drummer. He played a different style was all, which was more straight forward/without all of the bells & whistles and experimental rhythma or beats. .........................
.........A lot of bands would have been blessed to have such a solid and dedicated drummer. The thing is is that Rush as a whole wanted to experiment which meant having an experimental drummer as well. Just because a musician or band does things for straight and isn't unorthodoxed doesn't mean they aren't professional.
the thing i dont get is that you dont see professional cameras filming a local unsigned canadian band. and also if you go on, you see them filming alex arguing with his parents. what up with that

@majicray2112 I did not get it. It was memorable because the music were so loud?

.........Again, just because somebody isn't ultra complex or experimental doesn't mean they aren't
good. He was tight and on the mark, had some solid and precise fillers along with lead ins and outs...........

Does anyone know what the song at the beginning is called? I watched this movie and wanted to find that song but couldn't.
PinkTheFloydable 1 year ago
@PinkTheFloydable It's called Fancy Dancer. It's one of their early pre-album songs. I think they wrote it.....obviously before Neil joined the band.
