@Bigswano - its his job to hate guns. He can sleep better at night now, with the knowledge that he sold the people of Australia souls for another agenda. He has spat on the constitution and a mongrel dog traitor . Bring back capital punishment and then round up the true criminals of Port Arthur and have them tortured for 5 months 24/7 and then execute them on a public display with the media watching, that way the world can see the truth, instead of some dispicable lie.

Massive rise in home invasion, rape and murder? I'd like to see those statistics next to some demographic information. Taking guns out of society might not stop the criminal element - Howard didn't claim that it did - but it certainly seems to have stopped the crazies from wreaking such havoc. When he said "never again," Howard was right. He's still right.

People should remember that the school shooters and mass murderers generally aren't criminals. Heck, the most recent one was a US soldier at Fort Hood. We didn't get rid of the guns to stop crime. We got rid of them to prevent school shootings and stop mass murders.

@Lensei Totally! Like in the UK a week ago... 12 people dead.. how could that happen in UK? Country with such strict gun laws. How come it happened in Germany twice? In Finnland... all countries with strict gun laws. In what universe do gun laws prevent those incidents???

@CzechShooter 10 years ago, Robert Paul Long killed 15 people in an Arson attack known as the childers backpack fire. A few years later a group of serial killers killed 12 people in what was known as the Snowtown murder. Just last year, we had a huge bushfire which claimed the lives of 173 people, 21 of those were from a DELIBERATE arson attack. You will never stop mass murder. Hell, I got a video up outlining how an Improvised SMG could be made.

Dankrug, you are correct! Just because you ban a gun from a law abiding citizen does mean the crims will hand their guns in too! Thats why they are Criminals in the first place... They don't obey the law!

sydney seems to be the worst but i have noticed a rise in shootings not a decrease across australia

since his stupid gun laws .

every drug dealers door that gets kicked in these days there are guns as well. you cant stop drugs and guns no matter how hard you try.

he should mention the massive rise in home invasion ,rape ,murder,armed robbery,that came with limiting honest citizens gun ownership,and leaving the crooks only to have guns ,victims are his legacy
