I was raised in elementary and middle school (which is actually one school in my school district) as a nerd with no herd. And through this I grew bitter over the pop culture over use of the word nerd. So when my friend first told me she was a Nerdfighter, I was very vary, but she showed me this video and when John and corrected Hank on the use of acronym I knew you had used Nerd properly. And now, months later a Nerdfighter myself, I decided to come back and share my story of how I got here.
