Susan looks so old in that final shot. I've never seen the show much, just got into it, but she looks as if she's acting in the scene, while looking at the audience, crying or something. Was her character upset at something? They decided to give up something in the business and she didn't want that?

I see it as.. she's showing the audience that "Brooke" has grown on "Stephanie" despite the fact that she continues to kind of put up a facade that she doesn't like her.. Like secretly showing the audience that deep down she likes Brooke..

I love the flashbacks. I remember reading that Ridge and Brooke first met each other at the party celebrating Ridge's engagement to Caroline where Brooke was working as a caterer. And Brooke said that she's been in love with Ridge since that very moment when she first saw him. It was love at first sight.
