Winter time night fishing - simply use dead shrimp on the bottom using pyramid weights. If fishing a channel with strong current, then need heavier weights of course.

My day time fishing is nothing but using artificial lures.! Good luck.

hey is it safe to use 80lb. braid for surf fishing?

I use reg. mono 20 lb to give me the challenge of feeling on the edge of loosing the fish. Less lbs test skills of working the fish. 80 lb braid is just fine. It's up to individual fisherman/fisherwoman. Good luck catching the big one!
