  • You should push the pins out from the left side to the right starting with the locking block pin then the trigger mechanism housing pin then the trigger pin. Always put the locking block pin back first, it's crucial.

  • Good video but........that's a connector not disconnect or and you forgot to take out the magazine catch. btw you should take t

  • Just purchased a police trade-in glock 40 at Cabelas. Pistol looks very good, but if anything comes up, glad to have this video for reference. Really nice job.

    Thank you

  • very nice. I did't think it had that much to it. I'm glad I watched the video, thanks it helped out!

  • Great video! I love how you take your time and explain things. Very useful video. I knew how to take it apart but only for basic cleaning, (just to the slide) I've never found a good video in detail the spring break down. I've watned to switch my glock 22 into my glock 32 frame. Thanks for the great video!

  • Great video, exactly what I was looking for.

  • what size punch are you using for the pins? thanks

  • Thanks man, I'm a Glock 22 owner (used gun - no documentation). Did a good cleaning tonight after watching this video a couple of times.

  • Brownells sells Glock parts, if you go to brownells website you can order a magazine for free with all the parts and even some upgrades for glock, 1911, AR's the works

  • Excellent video =) Bought mine and wanted to make sure it was CLEAN. This helped me out quite a bit. Thanks again.

  • I just lost my tractor plunger when I removed the slide cover as per 1:25 in your video. So you may want to put some kind of a warning at that part of your video.

Because now, all I could find is the spring, the rest of it ricocheted across the room, and I've yet to locate it. A warning would have been great and saved me a lot of trouble. Shit, I don't know where the hell I will get those parts if I do not find them.

  • Phew!!! I found it!!! I searched like I was trying to find a nun in a brothel!!!

  • Dude..... that's because you're stupid. If you're gonna own a pistol, you need to realized that there ARE SPRINGS IN IT. Don't dis the guy because of your ignorance. Excellent video. Had mine torn down in less than a few minutes =)

  • @chevytruckman34 Oh my God...you are calling me stupid...you just typed: "you need to realized that there ARE SPRINGS IN IT." Before you call ANYONE stupid, you need to get your own head out of your ass. Besides, if i wanted to hear from an asshole, I would have farted.

  • HA! Ya, almost a year it's been. And yes, you're stupid. If you're numb enough to NOT know that pistols have springs, than maybe you shouldn't own one, let alone attempt to disassemble one. You watched the video, obviously, step by step because you don't have any mechanical inclination. LOL! Dumbass. By the way, I am an asshole; big deal. You fail at life and and should shoot yourself. You mean nothing to me; I'm only calling you out of your ignorance. Don't hate me because you're stupid.

  • Could I use this video to strip down my 27 also.

  • glock is the easiest gun to take a part, thats why i have a glock22 myself

  • well made video thanks

  • ok i was looking at getting a glock 21 but have had some bad experiences in the past with other firearms 1. is it a good gun and 2. do i have to wipe it down everytime i touch the metal slide?

  • should we dissasemble it like this everytime we clean the gun? or would a simple feild strip be fine?

  • Complete strip isn't necessary for cleaning. A field strip is all you need as far as cleaning...unless you're very thorough.

  • ok thanks

  • Dead Blow Hammer & a punch ain't gonna hurt the gun. I've taken sandpaper and completely stripped the finish off the slide.....won't rust

  • exactly, all you need is the punch, when you force the pins like he does you'll find them sliding out when you fire it. You have to manuver the slidestop a bit to get the trigger pin out with ease, if you force it sometimes you'll find the slidestop start to engage everytime you fire it or pull the slide back like it does when there is a empty magazine in the magwell

  • Very good job on the video.

  • ACK!!! Could you slam the gun around anymore? Your all too rough in these videos!!!!!!

  • It's a service pistol, this gun is ment to be used and abused - not sit in a safe., and be wiped clean every 2 seconds.

    it's fine, trust me.

  • Forgot the mag catch, though!

  • i was wanting to put a extended mag release on my glock 22 and a new slide lock how would i go about doin it i really have no clue and dont want to mess it up!!!!

  • he shows how to take the slide lock out, but the first time i did i put in back in upside down so when it was back together i pulled the trigger and the slide started to slide off, i knew what it was right away because it was the only thing i wasn't sure about putting it back together

  • Thanks, needed the help. Great video

  • Congrats, you're the only guy on YouTube to remember the slide lock spring, well done and great video.

  • salamat!(thanks)..thanks dude finally cleansd my G after 3yrs

  • GREAT video. Next time consider an over the top camera set up to hands will not get in the way. Also, a reassembly in real time would be nice. Thanks for the info

  • That was a very thorough video. Thanks! As someone who's new to shooting this helped out a LOT!

  • thanks for the info help out alot

  • great job! Thanks for the info.

  • I need to install a LaserMax Sight on a Glock 22. Would you make a video showing this procedure? One of the steps involves the removal of the take-down lever, which will be replaced with the laser on/off switch.

  • Fucking shit, I would never put my glock apart. I'm scared that I might fuck it up.

  • Thank you for showing how to feel the trigger reset position. I have a Glock 22 also. If it's possible, do you know how to take the magazine release spring and button out of the grip? Thanks

  • cool video, but we need to see how to put it back together not in a time lapse format but in real time.

  • this seems tough but once you do it one time it's actually really easy. This is a terrific video.

  • how often should this be done

  • That roll of masking tape was a good idea when you were taking those pins out.

  • shouldn't do it... just push them don't hammer them out.

  • about $425.00

  • i got mine for $200.00 from a Cabella's clearence deal!!!...it was 50% off!

  • New about 550 used can find them from 350 450

  • How much roun about would a glock 22 cost you?
