I still like this cartoon for it's jokes but......goddamn Hanna Barbara really did tone down the quality of things, Droopy has no wrinkles, he's draw generic, and the background looks like it was made by a three year old so they could put all the budget on animation. just how much of the budget got cut here?

that's not what happened. the cartoonists just went a different way towards the cartoons. the "new droopy" came out because new artists came around and hanna barberra wanted a change. also, by the time the cartoons were made....a lot of money was lost due to the cold war and korean and vietnam wars....not to mention carttonists don't live forever and their lives do expire at some point

that's a really good point, and I did enjoy his shows since they were admirable for being good low budget shows.

My beef was just because thous shows made people think all the MGM and WB cartoons were ment for kids dispite some of their adult humor. no wonder RB had such a hard time trying to show animation was a form of entertainment now just a kid's medium.
