Smacking children is agaisnt the law EVERYWHERE, hitting children has and will always be a crime, this is disgusting, and I have no respect for people who advocate violence towards children and never will. Children are SMALLER,we are talking about people who are physically weaker, people who hardly stand a chance when needing to defend themselves from harm. Also, smacking childrens bottoms is sexual harassment,if an adult smacks an adult there without their consent,it would be sexual assault.
smacking chlidren is very very good parenting and it NOT illigal infact it is endorsed in law as a parent right. the law is expected to change back to allowing teachers to deliver a smack to unruley children. even smacking your own child on a naked bottom is legal and there has never been a case brought for sexual assault. infact the act of pulling down a childs underware and smacking its bare botton enforces the act of disciplining. you need to ensure the smack really stings to be effective.
@imanglo Shame on you. How do you feel about a person smacking an adults bottom without their consent? taking their underwear down? smacking them, an adult, on their naked bottom? Hm? What have you got to say about that then? Yet, no matter how you look at it,'Smacking' is abuse, for anybody of any age. No matter what you believe in, you can't change the fact that it is an assault and is wrong. You should be ashamed of yourself, and so should those who agree with you.
@imanglo ''smacking chlidren is very very good parenting and it NOT illigal infact it is endorsed in law as a parent right.'' Smacking is illegal in all these countries: Austria Bulgaria Chile Cyprus Denmark Finland Germany Greece Hungary Iceland Israel Italy Netherlands New Zealand Norway Portugal Romania Sweden Spain Ukraine Uruguay Venezuela Are these all backward countries whose governments don't know what good parenting involves, then?
Face it sue..your piggy back ride with Helen Clarke for the last 9 years is well over and common sense is now turning over all the weak statutes that you and labour forced upon us!!!

The voters had it - yet she believes everyone that didn't vote is siding with her?
No wonder she's had death threats.
