I think your argument is weak because I could point out many more Democratic countries which have failed, it doesn't mean Democracy is unsuccessful. Look at how relatively new and hated Communism is - embargoes, black propaganda - of course it hasn't prevailed over democracy... yet.

I am an American who visited Caracas and some nearby towns. By talking to people I found that most are independent, but prefer Chavez since his government seems to be the only one do anything for the impoverished people. I was witness to most programs his government has instituted in the city and the rural towns. I've also seen the wealthy and the way they segregate themselves and their wealth. The Bolivarian Revolution is something different, and so far it seems to be working.

Your analysis is almost as bad as your English. Venezuela is a genuinely participatory democracy. The righwing, rich, white elite (you lot), which controls the media, have lost power, and will stop at nothing to remove the democratically elected president (coups, lock-outs etc).
