I think the words thing was a accidently on purpose thing. I think it was stick it to the judges time. He was over it. Between Paula criticizing a song he hadn't sung yet in front of the live audience, and the garbage he took about his Bob Marley song...he was just done.

actually bob dylan's voice isn't really as unique as you think he actually copied his voice from woody guthrey's voice so it's not really an organic voice.
Big deal. He forgot some lyrics. He's still humble and adorable,has a huge fan base and landed a deal with Atlantic Records. Gotta give him credit for his belief in himself and for his perseverance...

I could see this guy becoming famous....I don't think american idol was the proper venue for him...he's not exactly what they look for on the show but he definately has the potential to do something with his music. As for forgetting the words, I hear it happen all the time of live stages..it took a lot of courage to keep going afterward and that's what makes a great performer....Good Run Jason !!
I can't believe this guy got to the top 4. Wow. That is just EMBARRASING that he forgot the words. Seriously, NO PROFESSIONAL does that. He had a week to memorize this, and if he had really focused on it he would've gotten it. Too bad he's too much of an idiot to. I've hated this guy from the start. My opinion is he only got this far because of his looks. Thankfully people saw this and snapped to their senses.
there are some professionals that forget the words sometimes like at one of their concerts, no one's perfect, and i still think that girl, i forgot her name, should have gotten eliminated, jason is so much better than her
The fact is that those professionals have the right to forget the words (although I've never seen it happen personally), they've worked hard to build up their name and are already famous. If you forget the words to someone else's song when singing it on television IN a competition, that's just very unprofessional right there. I can tell you if he WAS in a professional vocal competition that wasn't up to the viewers, he would have gotten a lot of marks deducted for making that mistake.

I have to say, that was embarrassing to watch. but I also have to say that for him to continue on without freaking out from forgetting the words took a lot of balls. he's definitely not American Idol material (not saying it's a good or bad thing -- he just doesn't fit what they're looking for), but he's found a niche he can do something with. assuming he doesn't forget his lines and all.
After his 1st peformance tuesday he mouthed the words "dont vote" & it was rumored he told his family to spread the word throughout his town not to vote for him. Seeing as how ryan said last night that the votes were so close, it makes me wonder, if jason hadnt done what he did (telling people not to vote) would he be in top 3 right now? We'll never know, but my guess is yes. He took control over his fate & he was clearly happy with the decision. All the best to him hes gained some amazing fans.
Jason was ready to go. He was tired of the BS of the show. That became clear after paulas little "slip up". Jason isnt dumb, he knew this show had an agenda. They tore him down, screwed him over, and all the while were still able to kiss the 2 david's asses!. He has more style and class than this show and deserves better. Now that he has his foot in the door he would accomplish amazing things. I'm happy that he was so much at peace with everything.

You know there are actually a lot of very famous performers that don't have perfect voices. But it's the total package. Can you honestly tell me that Neil Young or Bob Dylan have great voices. They have a unique sound that appeals to a lot of people. Jason to me has a very appealing sound and as a bonus he is very easy on the eyes and has a great personality.
um excuse me but the POPULARITY factor has worked in his favor thus far! he SHOULD go home!! he's not that good at all...honestly, it isn't stupid. everything the judges said was true.

Oh my God, I love Jason Castro. He truely is an amazing singer, drummer and guitarist. I find it funny, that none of you people have made it as far in life as he has and yet you criticize from behind your computers. Oh wait, you all dont have a life.

I could see this guy becoming famous....I don't think american idol was the proper venue for him...he's not exactly what they look for on the show but he definately has the potential to do something with his music. As for forgetting the words, I hear it happen all the time of live stages..it took a lot of courage to keep going afterward and that's what makes a great performer....Good Run Jason !!

and i actually liked this song quite a bit, and i think he mite have done a really good job w/ it if he wasnt so nervous.
i mean obviously like all of his pride had been like taken down a few minutes before.
i don't blame him fer bein nervous.
he's really talented..

I can't believe this guy got to the top 4. Wow. That is just EMBARRASING that he forgot the words. Seriously, NO PROFESSIONAL does that. He had a week to memorize this, and if he had really focused on it he would've gotten it. Too bad he's too much of an idiot to. I've hated this guy from the start. My opinion is he only got this far because of his looks. Thankfully people saw this and snapped to their senses.

there are some professionals that forget the words sometimes like at one of their concerts, no one's perfect, and i still think that girl, i forgot her name, should have gotten eliminated, jason is so much better than her

The fact is that those professionals have the right to forget the words (although I've never seen it happen personally), they've worked hard to build up their name and are already famous. If you forget the words to someone else's song when singing it on television IN a competition, that's just very unprofessional right there. I can tell you if he WAS in a professional vocal competition that wasn't up to the viewers, he would have gotten a lot of marks deducted for making that mistake.

yeah i agree about that, but still he just forgot a few words and at least it wasn't like that brooke girl where she started the song over, it was good that he kept on going even though he messed up

I have to say, that was embarrassing to watch. but I also have to say that for him to continue on without freaking out from forgetting the words took a lot of balls. he's definitely not American Idol material (not saying it's a good or bad thing -- he just doesn't fit what they're looking for), but he's found a niche he can do something with. assuming he doesn't forget his lines and all.

After his 1st peformance tuesday he mouthed the words "dont vote" & it was rumored he told his family to spread the word throughout his town not to vote for him. Seeing as how ryan said last night that the votes were so close, it makes me wonder, if jason hadnt done what he did (telling people not to vote) would he be in top 3 right now? We'll never know, but my guess is yes. He took control over his fate & he was clearly happy with the decision. All the best to him hes gained some amazing fans.

Jason was ready to go. He was tired of the BS of the show. That became clear after paulas little "slip up". Jason isnt dumb, he knew this show had an agenda. They tore him down, screwed him over, and all the while were still able to kiss the 2 david's asses!. He has more style and class than this show and deserves better. Now that he has his foot in the door he would accomplish amazing things. I'm happy that he was so much at peace with everything.

!yes!if you want jason to stay in this competition.....you must vote for him!true!one mistake could be forgiven.......second and third times mistakes!is forgettable...so,i guess he's safe!well,let's just wait and see then!after America finishes to vote!jason's fate is in the hands of the ppl who's gon'vote!prayin'for him to be safe though.....and be on that stage next week!!!

You know there are actually a lot of very famous performers that don't have perfect voices. But it's the total package. Can you honestly tell me that Neil Young or Bob Dylan have great voices. They have a unique sound that appeals to a lot of people. Jason to me has a very appealing sound and as a bonus he is very easy on the eyes and has a great personality.
