@nixter888, I am only one who read it a lot of years before: sorry. And the study I referred: Plato mentioned Poseidon was near the columns. Avieno, mentioned where the columns were, and he was who mentioned Juba in 280-283, who was honored governing the important city.
So the author was Avieno, not Plato.

One thing that should be considered is the geographic position of the site.The locations is a perfect stopping point should someone be carrying tin from the British Isles to the middle east.It would take a really long time to sail a galley from Britain to Palestine 3k years ago. But if you just had to take it to Spain and then let another ship crew take it the rest of the way, then the trip becomes much more reasonable. This is why the Phoenicians founded the city of Cádiz just a few miles away.

I'm partial to the theory that the "Pillars of Hercules" were actually the Strait of Messina, and the "large continent" that was Atlantis was really referring to Sardinia, and in particular, to the Nuragic civilization, which was quite advanced. The Nuraghi suffered a cataclysmic event when a massive earthquake and tsunami destroyed the south shore of the island.

they also forgot one important detail on finding it they need to look at the original records and location and then take in consideration the city existed befor the contenents split up which means the city had to of moved from its original location further out to sea instead of closer to where the dialog had said... they also need to take in consideration when it fell under the ocean the amount of earth quake activity and shifts under the ocean could also have re located parts of the land.

I just have one question: In the Plato's book, he describes Atlantis situated "WEST" of the Pillars of Hercules, right? If it's really under Donnana Park, should not Plato describes Atlantis in "NORD" of the Pillars of Hercules? Or maybe, at least "NORDWEST". So...I think 3 possibilities:1) Plato is wrong about the direction. 2) Atlantis is not here under Donnana's Park. 3) Gibraltar is not the Pillars of Hercules.
