This dance is called Hatoma Bushi. This dance is about Hatoma Island. It was a slower version until it came to the main Island of Okinawa. It's about celebrating the barges delivering grain between the islands while the young men run up the hill.
I am really not sure. They taught it to the whole crowd and everyone was doing it by the end. However, I had some beers in me and can't remember for the life of me. But, if you look around on youtube, I think you will find another similar one with the name.
