there is a jap deathmatch tourney out there where funk gets a chainsaw to the head in the first fight. its where he got the name chainsaw charlie from. foley wins the tourney. only found one match on you tube. the crazy thing about this match is they prob fought 2 or 3 fights that night. you can tell funk is already bloody at the beginning of this fight

in a weird way i kind of think that the explosions not working properly helped make this match so legendary...it seemed like funk and cactus turned it up a notch after they realized what happened...if you look at jacks face before the bombs went off he was only bleeding a little but afterwards he had the crimson mask going...that tournament was one of the best nights in wrestling history

You see after Foley drops the ladder onto Funk...the referee tosses a big piece of cardboard outside the ring. The ref realized that the cardboard was dangerous and someone might get hurt if it was left in the ring. Smart move Ref. Safety first! :)

One wrestler told what he was in hardcore match, and he should to finish his oponent by top rope splash with a barbed wire around his waist, but when the time is come this wire is missing... ref take it out the ring, the same ref who know what this wire will be use. Wrestler spoke to security, but they haven't any idea where it is. So he go out the ring and start to seek this bloody barbed wire.

It's coz promotions take 2 or 3 referees on one night where 7-8 matches. And poor guys try to remember all instructions what wrestlers told them before match, try to not disturb wrestlers in the match and looks like a busy at same time.
