well if u got a virus it wouldnt effect the mac as it is not only on a different partition (think of it as a different hard drive), but a virus for windows wouldnt have the same format as osx as exe's dont work; and not only that, but vmware fusion has a built in feature where u can practically "undo" everything u have downloaded, meaning you can return your windows to its former state if you did screw ur self on the windows partition. & u can still restart to windows, just hold down alt option.

I use Windows 7, I like it. I didn't have a problem with Vista, except for how resource heavy it was, and I think Win7 is much more refined. It's a good OS; I think Snow is awesome too. Win7 should be the same price though...
The Z-HD looks really good, and I think Microsoft is finally starting to do some good.
My view is they're both good for different people. I prefer Macs and use PCs, you may do neither..
I don't like subscription music services. You're really only renting the songs. Once you stop paying, you relinquish your license to the music and you can no longer play it (If it's DRM protected). It makes the process of moving media more complicated than it ought to be, because unencrypted media can transfer directly, but DRM media has to have its license renewed. My opinion, I'll pay-per-song for MP3 over a cheap subscription to DRM.

Well with the old Windows "Plays For Sure" model (as championed by Napster UK etc..) you did lose your stuff after you stopped subscribing. I think that model is crap. I much prefer buying my music and keeping it. I'm fussy, so I don't like things that pick my music for me either. For me, the best thing is to buy CD's, and for the car I sync it to my 80Gb iPod classic in .aiff format - ie full CD quality. Download stores make you accept poorer sound quality than you deserve!

hey soldier knows best, dont know your real name but anyways, i have a macbook white 2.1 gig 1 memory and it sucks, when i ran parallels like the parallels gets a bit laggy and the mac side gets really laggy. i noticed that your computer didnt lag at all. i know you have a macbook pro but can i see your specks?

And I honestly hated the Zune before...until now, that is. The only thing that's holding me back from buying one, is jailbreaking and iTunes (as a little less than half my songs have a huge DRM sticker on it).

Yeah, and it's gonna get worse. It's just amusing watching them trying so hard to defend their precious iToys. They have one argument: Apps. Soon as MS releases an App Store, they have no argument anymore.
I hope you're not scared to try the Zune Software. Cause I've been using it for about 2 years now along with iTunes. I must say, it is far superior. I don't have enough space to explain it, but I recommend you try it out for yourself. You won't regret it.

Well with the old Windows "Plays For Sure" model (as championed by Napster UK etc..) you did lose your stuff after you stopped subscribing. I think that model is crap. I much prefer buying my music and keeping it. I'm fussy, so I don't like things that pick my music for me either. For me, the best thing is to buy CD's, and for the car I sync it to my 80Gb iPod classic in .aiff format - ie full CD quality. Download stores make you accept poorer sound quality than you deserve!
