LOST 11. Petula Clark - ''Downtown''

no quiero que me malinterpreten me encanta esta serie, pero nunca han pensado que presentaban hechos irreales, bueno obvio, y lo complementaban con situaciones sociales y humanas reales, y así pudieron integrar ambas cosas, que todo en el universo, la naturaleza humana como la naturaleza del medio ambiente por así llamarlo tienen en común una base, una complejidad, cualidades que no nos paramos a ver, pero que forma parte de la realidad; ahora bien al final nos presentan ambas cosas unidas,

seres humanos con una naturaleza extraordinaria; debido a su unión con su medio, el cual al tener una organización estable distinta a la humana toma rumbos insospechados al expresar sus cualidades extraordinarias, como inmortalidad, transmisión de energías a voluntad o dependencia de una fuente externa.

Bien lo que quería decir es que al principio ellos iban bien encaminados porque lo que era una serie de misterio se convirtió en una serie de descubrimiento,

luego presentaron hechos sin mucho sentido así que dijeron que estos fueron controlados por personas que buscaban un objetivo, bien hasta ahí, pero al darle forma a esos objetivos y para que mantuvieran sentido con el tema de una naturaleza subyacente especial en la cosas tuvieron que decir que el objetivo de traerlos a la isla era ayudar a que el orden que existía no fuera dañado

y para que esto tuviera sentido en sí tuvieron que inventar entes totalitarios (el mal, fuente suprema del bien, alma inmortal), que no tienen mucha lógica ya que son metáforas y si se lleva una metáfora a una representación real, no encontramos con una historia fantástica y no real como aparentaba ser. Claro que nosotros en el fondo nos damos cuenta de esto y en una hermosísima historia con gran mensaje y comprensible al hacer interactuar los elementos, en verdad mi serie favorita.

@mconstanta Hi: Yes it makes me sad too! Why? I think it's because "Downtown" no longer exists in our cities today. Go downtown at night and you might get mugged. It used to be a place to meet friends or just socialize. Perhaps it's the drug addicts that have taken over. Only place to go nowadays is a Coffee Shop for a night coffee, and perhaps meeting someone to talk to. It can be an adventure, but it's not the old Downtown! A retired Catholic priest in Canada.

@watchful38 i don't think it's that. i believe there's something to the song that makes us so melancholic. personally whenever it reaches and chorus and i'm sad i cry. it's not just us, it is indeed the song;p a teenager in Cyprus .

@mconstanta Yes, there are some things that you just can't put into words. I was trying to do so, but that song "Downtown" evokes so many emotions. You just can't describe them with justice. You are in danger of losing the essence of the song. I'm glad we both appreciate "Downtown". I listen to it at least from time to time. Thanks, all the way from Canada to Cyprus, the "Pearl of the Mediterranean".

@sinclairiscool and klaybush: for the record, they did NOT all die except in the sense that everybody dies. By the real time events of the end of the series, nine of the main characters are inferrably still alive, and three of those explicitly so. The alternate timeline depicted a concept of what happens after they come to a natural death like everybody does. Awesome song.

@ledeux - shes crying because kate came back and shes worried how it will affect her relationship with sawyer - shes insecure that sawyer may leave her to be with kate - she been playing home with sawyer in that time shift and kate just showed up, - great scence - something i do do - when your heart aches or worries so - play music that you love - and downtown one of my favorites - so mellow and happy - in the end we see that she and sawyer were soul-mates - l love the candy-bar scene

nope sorry, this is before oceanic 815 even crashed on the island. juliet and sawyer didn't even know each other yet. this is when she wants to go back to the mainland and be with her sister before she gives birth. ben won't let her go home though. that's why she's crying

and recall kate showing up, -- but she defineatly trying to ease her pain - by using music to ease the pain --- great scene -- i love the series - lost - but this issue of soul-mates - and jack entering the light - im still wondering why his soul-mate didnt enter into the light-room in the church with him - namely kate ?

Juliet by far was one of the most intriguing and interesting characters. Season 3 was also the 2nd best season, next to Season 6. It focused more on the conclusion of who and what the others were and wrapping up some important things for our Losties. :]
