Good movie. Got to love a game that draws you in, only to scare the crap out of you from some new, horrific monster :D. Great videos! I'm loving every one of them :).
Another uninteresting fact of the day: the internet says that flame blade "doesn't benefit from to-hit and to-damage strength bonuses since it's immaterial". Hence, with a strength of 22 you'd be better off using one of your magical maces.
Oh sure, there were a lot 3D first-person games that came before Doom. Dungeons of Daggorath is another example. But the games that used the EoB engine just felt, I dunno, really fast-paced and action-oriented compared to some of those other games.
Sorry Duke, didn't mean to make you angry, but I must say your knowledge of the history of gaming is impressive, I just use Catacomb 3-D as my personal example because it is the title that introduce me to this genre.
So continue your excellent work, it is always interesting to hear this sort of thing coming out of you. You make my days at work go by faster. And I hope you have fun making these videos.
The red guy is a Xill. (the measle was the little guy you took out a few vids ago) They're pretty nasty, because they use a paralyzing attack. Good thing paralyzation doesn't keep you from running away in this game.
Looks like that second unidentified ring of yours is a ring of free action, or you would have found out about the paralyzation first hand.
CLERICS IN D&D (3.5e at least): You choose a deity. A deity is of an alignment you can be one step away from on both axis.
Deities also have a set list of Domains; each domain has a bonus, and also lets you effects one of the spells you must prepare, a domain spell.
In order to prepare spells you must spend an hour praying for them a day. You do not technically need to sleep ever as an Arcane caster does. Most spells require you have a Holy Symbol of your deity.
EXAMPLE: Lets say you make a Cleric who worships Pelor. Pelor is Neutral Good, so you can be any non-evil alignment. Pelor has the Sun, Strength, Healing, and Good domains, and you can have two domains. If you get the Sun, you get the bonus of having undead you turn be destroyed, and if you choose the Healing you get +1 Caster Level on heals, so they tend to heal a little more, and can prepare heal spells or light/heat spells for the Domain spots.
Please make more Dungeon Hack videos! They're awesome!

I think Catacomb 3-D was the first 3-D experience, before Doom, you are a mage shooting fireball at zombies and living trees. Very old.

Why aren't you using Prayer? It would make your guy suck less at hitting things. It would also make the monsters suck more at hitting your guy...
