@Abashi76 What do you mean by saying SD is a "conservative military spot?" I was stationed in San Diego for several years and I would hardly call it conservative. And although there is a sizable Navy presence there, military is not the first thing one thinks about when someone mentions San Diego. It's not like Norfolk, VA.
I didn't like it, it should have been more thought out or whatever, really but whatever at least they had fun, no Salsa? Allegretto? How could they even leave Falsetto out? And, of course, Frederic is, like, the main main character THEN Polka
I love anime... I love comic books... but I just can't wrap my head around cosplay. I never in my life have felt the need to break out a pair of scissors and fashion some fake mech armor out of cardboard and run around preteending I have powers. I'm a grown ass man. Why do y'all do this?
It's more than just loving the shows; we also love making costumes and being a part of the costume community. We have friends we see yearly at costume events that we share our projects with and have fun with :D It's definitely unique and nerdy, and not for everyone, but we love it.
Like what Undergroundcosplay said, it is more than just loving anime, manga and comics. A lot of people like making costumes, and put a lot of dedication into them. It also gives us a chance to show off our skills. Some of us also enjoy taking on that one character for a few days.
The most important thing about cosplay, however, is that it brings a lot of people together. People with the same interests basically cumulate together. ^-^
Thank you soooo much for posting this!! I've been dying to see this and it's only been a day XD. And I8apoptart, they're all over 20 besides myself. (The purple haired one.) ^^
Do any of these nerds actually live down here? Its a conservative military spot, I wouldn't expect that they would, but do they, is it possible?

Really cool. I am really liking the whole cosplayer thing. Takes a lot of guts to dress and stand up on stage and perform like that.
I love the movement and facial exaggeration. Just like it is portrayed in anime and manga.
There is a real epic feel about this skit.

I must say, even though I've never played the game, I liked your skit.
Maybe you could help me out with some questions I have about cosplay?

Well, we have a stick in the mud! Don't you gape at some well done costumes or at least a half way well done skit?
Here's a question for YOU: Why do actors act?
