ive had my right arm and shoulder amputated as the result of a really bad motorbike crash im being started off with a M io Electric hand and from what im told, working up the arm untill i will be able to operate a full arm! i suppose the only bad thing about it is that i was right handed before but everydays a schoolday! the ironic thing is i spent 6 months in afghanistan and came back without a scratch the best thing is im staying in the (British) Army but life aint all that bad!!

Hmm they couldn't reattach his hand? My Dad's a nurse and took care of this gangmember whose hand was taken of with a shotgun discharge. But thats awesome he now has a mechanical hand that actually moves. I don't know why he can't join the Army I guess he lives in england. you cant join the military with an injury like that. I am in perfect health and I cant join because of my neofibramatosis which is asymptomatic in my case so it does not affect me at all. there are actually a lot of restrictions that bar you from service.

If an injury is bad enough or there is a lot of tissue damage, they cant reattach.

That is bad ass how they included fake viens to increase realism. prothetics has really come a long way.
