  • HAS TO BE A FEMALE...GONNA NAME HER ANGEL...NOOOOT FOR BREEDING JUST AS COMPANION TO THE NORMAL COLORED ONE I HAVE...

  • It sounds like it is probably a male. The males and females will do a loud sing descending drawn out whistle of alarm or surprise, (it lasts about 1.5 seconds maybe) but the male only will chatter and sing a song that lasts about 3-4 seconds. Each male I have had sounds different though!

  • to add... If i could sex this poor little thing I would seek a partner.. but as yet i dont know if he is a male or female.. i wonder if you could help me ?? He or she, sings constantly that lovely flute like sound.. I will take some video and post..

  • Hi !... thank you for your video.. I live in Spain and the other day i bought what i thought to be a pair of lady gouldians.. well one had no tail feathers and when i put them with my other gouldian they all started to peck its tail !.. so upon close examination i realised that the poor little thing isnt a gouldian but a shaft tail !.. he is now on his own, im presumming he is a male as he sings that lovely sliding flute like sound.. he is so happy to be on his own away from the gouldians..
