I swear, trumpeters can be some of the worst people on the planet sometimes. I'm sure this professional musician doesn't need any condescending "advice" on how to make music. These videos are posted to be shared with you, not to ask for help. I don't think I'll ever understand why everyone thinks they're an expert in YouTube comment sections. Jeanne, you sound great, so you interpret the music you play how you damn-well please :)

This was a nice rendition...A little reminder to you Jeanne, Whenever you play this piece, you need to feel that you, the trumpet and the notes are One in the same and the flow comes from deep within your heart and soul. There was some of that in your rendition but La Virgen de la Macarena doesnt need the extra Pizzaz that you put in it....Good performance

You who are criticizing the "backup band" need to understand that this Jeanne was a guest performer at this school. As for the jerk who commented on her size, she has an operatic-scale body, and it shows in the power with which she plays. Those who don't know Jeanne should know that she spends half her year teaching in Haiti, and was in PAP during the earthquake. She stayed at least a month afterward recovering the bodies of her students and friends who did not survive. She is an institution!

Listen to the Aeolian scale runs (Spanish-music scales). Her clean attacks, single and double-tonguing, and sure-handed fingerings are a clinic for young players to observe and seek to emulate.
