I remember my dad brought home this movie from blockbuster, when I was about 5 or 6. I didn't pay much attention to the story, but I remember writing the opening monologue of the movie along with the ending when the thief takes the film in my first grade class journal. 11 years later, I am brought back to a movie that I watched so many years ago. Nostalgia is a drug that is so nice to go back to.

Tack is the greatest! So far, he's my favorite animated character! XD i luv him! this was an awsome movie, and this version of it is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better :) i love how you can't see his mouth that good, but the tacks in his mouth shows what mouth expression he's showing :) i <3 this movie!

This was Very Entertaining!... i actually sat and watched the whole thing. I found that I Really liked the Thief and his Goofy style humor. The animation throughout this film was stunning and visually impressive and am delightfully suprised that i liked this movie.

Wow Tack really made a huge transformation in the movie. In the beginning he was pale and lanky. Now he's tanned and has some muscle. It's sad that I'm just noticing this but then again, I haven't seen this movie since I was 6. xD

I don't like this version as much. They left out so much while putting in so many useless things. I'd rather watch the "Recobbled Cut" with the story board shots and sketches incorporated into it because there's so much detail they left out.

@embluvya Well, what happened is that they started this project back in the 1960s, but it took so long that Alladin came out before. But really... I think thats a testament to the wonderful animation and art. Pretty advanced for that time!

Spectacular animation, but the inner monologues of the main characters like Tak and the Thief just ruins the film. It feels like I'm watching YouTube voice dubs when I see this version, as opposed to the Recobbled Cut, which feels much more natural.
