  • ryan kinda looks like max payne

  • this scene was really some sad shit...

  • liked the shirley belinger execution better that was some sick s

  • fucking seamus. so goddamn evil. i wonder if gloria & ryan had a relationship after kissing or if it was a one time thing. this is so heart wrenching. how the fuck did they let that guy who killed kareem said AND omar white live but kill cyril for killing a man in SELF DEFENCE?! (yes i know he's had plenty of violent out bursts but so has schillenger and many others)

  • wow the execution of shirley was much better and wore dramatic

  • @jimromerulez You're an idiot. Shirley's death was NOT better nor dramatic. She was a bitch who was accepting death but wanted to back out at the last minute. She was a coward who was hanged quickly. Cyril on the other hand, there was hope that he might be saved again, that his execution would not happen. He didn't have ANY idea that he was being executed. All the events that lead to him being executed were mistakes he made trying to defend his brother. Just stop it, man, use your fucking brain.

  • I liked it when that self-righteous prick querns lost his lunch.

  • Also, considering how much Ryan did for Cyril, and how much he loved his little brother, it always left a bitter taste in my mouth that while Cyril was in that chamber crying for his big brother, Ryan was making out with Gloria. I know this was meant to represent Ryan losing someone precious while gaining someone precious, but after all him and Cyril had been through together, they shouldn't have undermined Cyril's execution with having Ryan and Gloria hook up. He should have been there for him.

  • Cyril knew right from wrong, which by law means he is mentally competent enough to be executed for his crimes, but his was still the mind of a five year old. My five year old niece knows right from wrong, but her childlike mind prevents her from grasping the seriousness of the consequences of her actions, be they right or wrong. Cyril knew he'd done bad things, but like a child he couldn't grasp just how bad. He was dangerous, yes, being a kid in a grown man's body, but he shouldn't have died.

  • he should of never been executed because it wasnt 1st degree murder when he killed Lee Chang, if anything it was 2nd or manslaughter

  • The priest is becoming one of my favorite UNKNOWN actors. He does an incredible job in SVU and was amazing in this gig too. The asian fella aint bad.

  • Sorry guys I've only seen the first 2 seasons. Why re all the inmates banging on there doors?

  • @TheMMADrGreenthumb This is what they do when someone is about to be executed. Its a sign of protest/support. It was even louder then ever for Cyril, since he was retarded.

  • this scene really broke my heart... Especially when Cyril realizes that something is wrong and asks for his brother.

This series was so great ...

  • Ì don't understand how people can be for the death penalty... It is cruel (can you imagine the last few hours before the execution for the condemned??) and against a fundamental human value: the right to live.

  • @caillou2000 Because life is precious, the act of an individual taking a life is injurious and offensive to the society/state. As we hold life dear, the society by the instrument of the state, metes out a punishment to the individual that matches the offense; to be carried out in a manner severe enough to give pause to anyone who contemplates the idea of taking a life themselves. One could say that the condemned recieves far more humane treatment than they gave to their victim.

  • @caillou2000 looks like no one in your family ever got murdered.

  • Hbsgkjgf

  • Hyde2010

Ryan O'reilly plays the allstate mayhem guy & Vernon Shillenger plays the yellow M&M their names are Dean Winters & J.K.Simmons

  • Sad

  • The chair, lethal injection and hanging are all cruel methods of death. 2 bullets to the back of the head is faster and cleaner.

  • @Ragnarok691 Nothing beats the guillotine...

  • There's no capital punishment in my country ... sorry to say so. Here, our hard-earned tax-money is wasted on keeping scum alive and well in prisons.

I'm pro-capital punishment ... but frying ppl on electric chairs? Slowly gassing them in gas-chambers? WTF! There's a million ways to kill a person quick and painless ... why is the "punishment factor" (torture) required in the US?

  • It reminds me of the execution scene from 'Angels with Dirty Faces.' in which James Cagney was executed the same way as Cyril O'Reilly. And sorry i thought Martin Querns was a man of courage but when he witness the execution closely he puked.

  • They still use the electric chair?

  • this scene is heartbreaking and moving and just an overall amazing scene but the thing that stands out the most for me is torquemada's hand on alvarez's leg. i'm a nut.

  • Vomiting at Cyril's electrocution, I guess Querns isn't as cold-hearted as he appears.

  • bastards! with all the scum who deserves that chair they pick Cyril to electricute!

  • this "eagle" was piss off.......

  • I just saw the episode where Cyrils execution gets postponed. I was crying! Now I see he actually gets executed? I'm gonna ball like a baby! :(

  • holy shit i just noticed o reily is the dude in those all state commercials

  • @hameed not O'Reilly but the one who plays Vernon Schillinger is the Professor in the commercials for the University of Farmers Insurance......O'Reilly was in Law and Order SVU as John Munch's partner and a short love interest of Olivia Benson

  • how can anyone execute a person like Cyril? He's mind is gone. it's not an execution, it's murder.

  • eye for and eye leave the world blind ....gahndi said that a life taken doesnt bring a life back just means an extra person died and an extra family must grieve

  • i have been netflixing this show the past months im dredding seeing this again loved cyril and everything he did was provoke by his traumas of being raped in prison of the shitty abusive father hes a 8 year old with so much rage he was a danger and shoulda been in solitary or have been transferd to the mental institute

  • WYAAAANNNNNNN

  • probably the saddest moment in TV history for me :p And I've watched a LOT of stuff!

way to go HBO for bringing us real TV

  • Naaa I think the saddest moment would be if someone who "didn't" kill anyone was executed....like in the "Green Mile". It's like everyone is forgetting that Cyril is a bad guy.@popspie

  • Sorry to say that, but in most countries where the death penalty is law, this is reality.

  • I have NEVER once cried cause of something I saw on TV, only now....

  • Governor devlin is a fucktard.

He was mentally disabled, you can't do that

  • ...I got extremely angry during this scene. Angry and saddened.

  • cyril is the best

  • This scene was shitty and not needed. If they were going to kill off Cyril it should have happened in the first attempt, was more touching and realistic (a call isn't going to come at the last moment to save you...). Adding this scene in just made the previous one pointless and made it seem like it was poorly tacked on to the finale for shock effect.

  • @CaptainWin123 with any execution, the phone is there in case a stay of execution is granted. its the quickest way to get the info there as sometimes it can be really last-minute. i know what you mean though about the scene, i had prepared myself the first time around but then there was a glimmer of hope! always cry at this scene.

  • Why do they have the microphone?

  • @wilsonnortheast its to give the condemed a last comment. its traditional at executions to have that

  • @wilsonnortheast so they can hear his last words

  • powerful scene. conflicting images. Nathan kissing ryan, same time showing cyril being executed for nathan's husband's death planned by ryan.

  • Man his fucking brother shouldve manned up and said he manipulated him into killin the dr's husband fucking bullshit

  • @krackablack169 he did already admit it,and he got an extra 40 years added to his sentence but Cyril was executed for other various reasons as well. i still think it's fucked up that they executed him, they even had to lie to him saying that it was a special electro-shock therapy session. this is still one of the most powerful scene, followed by a touching scene where his dad wants to see him,but is a bit too late, and Ryan shows sympathy for his dad, which made me cry a little

  • Kentucky fired retard..LOL

  • @maxx88 this retard can't even spell fried..LOL

  • @dr3wnj3ss it was just a typo.

dont get too happy, might think your the retard.

  • FLUFFERNUTTERS! This episode made me bawl my eyes out. I need to rewatch the entire series.

  • this is a sad moment :(

  • This scene broke my heart. :(

  • he pissed pants

  • @bs20sanders

if you are referring to the puddle seen when his feet are shown, it isnt urine its salt water. During an electric chair execution, the 2 points of electric contact, the head plate and the ankle band are separated from the body by a layer of sponge soaked in a strong salt solution. If the electrodes were in direct contact, they might burn the skin igniting the body (which has happened)

  • Was that his mom crying in the end?

  • This scene was really not needed i am suprised tom fontana put it in its hypocritical of ryan to be kissing dr nathan as cyril is being burnt to death!

  • What's that smell? Is someone cook'n eggs?

  • For someone like me who doesn't get emotional easily this scene was really the only one of any show or movie I've seen

  • y they cut his hair off

  • @MsTruSoul1 they needed to get the sponge right on to his scalp, although most of the time they just shave a little bit right in the middle

  • this scene wasn't needed. The first execution should have been the only one, and he should have died then. It would have been so much more effective.

  • Thy rod and thy stuff may comfort me, thou preparest a table for me in the midst of my enemies, thou anointh my head with oil. I will dwell in the house of the lord for ever

  • the best scene of any tv programme ever,i remember seein it years ago

  • He didn't even know what was going on until they put the sack over his head.sad really.

  • im sorry...i can you execute someone who has a mind of a 5 year old? That is cruel that's like executing a little kid because the didn't know what a gun was....btw...i do watch this show and i know it very well

  • Just goes to prove that, even with all the rapists, murderers and other violent criminals, the worst person in the entire series was Governor Devlin.

  • @jtaske02 agreed

  • @jtaske02 I agree completely. He was a MAJOR piece of SHIT!

  • @morgybearluvr I agree. In real life, I'm pretty sure that the most he would've gotten is life in prison...but definitely not a death sentence. I mean, come on...they even had to lie to the poor guy and say that they were taking him to a "special session."

  • @BrownFox815 In most of the country that is true, but Texas executes anyone and everyone and have had numerous cases including those who fall in the category of mentally retarded

  • @morgybearluvr ask the state of texas they do it all the time

  • @morgybearluvr the thing is cyril did know in some way what he was doing. although he was simple and generally kind, cyril through out the show demonstrated that he knew the implications caused by hurting people the way he did. it's not the same as a 5 year old who simply doesn't understand the mechanics of life and death

  • @d983394

Cyril really was like a child, except whereas an angry child's hits and punches do little damage, Cyril could easily kill a man with his bare hands. And true, he did, to a certain extent, know wrong from right ... but I still found it total bullshit when they executed him. I'm not American but I find it hard to believe that any state would sanction the execution of someone with diminished mental capacity.

(Sorry if I come across as cross, but this just really bugged me ^_^')

  • @morgybearluvr Ok let me ask you a question. If someone who was mentally retarded killed your loved one, would you say "no it's ok, let him go"?

  • @funkybunny9966 I wouldn't be happy, but if his actions were being manipulated by someone else and it's proven his brain isn't capable of telling right from wrong as easily. I'd blame the person manipulating and taking advantage of him for the death of my loved one.

Point is... he was put on death row for shanking that asian guy. He saw someone attacking his brother, the only family he really knew, and he protected Ryan. No, killing the guy wasn't right but executed someone like cyril isn't.

  • @morgybearluvr But the bottom line is, he broke the law... And it states ignorance is no excuse to it,don't shoot the messenger, that's just the law.

  • @funkybunny9966 good thing you dont work in the judicial system

  • @hameed My heart does not bleed thats why.

  • @funkybunny9966 its ok, oz isnt for you

  • @morgybearluvr i totally agree with you!! it was bad!it is bad! you're right..

  • 2:55....huh, ok why not

  • I know....this scene actually made my hands shake.

  • Poor Cyril...
