  • Pino, Paul, and Brian. dont get much better than that does it?

  • Wow, Paul Rogers Brings it in every single time, and with Queen? Does it get any better than this?

  • in fact for this song it's more Paul Rodgers plus Queen

merci à PR d'avoir dédicacé ce morceau à Paul Kossoff

  • en souvenir de Paul Kossoff

  • it makes sense Free was among the bands Freddie saw in '68 or whatever, and admired Paul making it in his own style. But to say "Freddie often cited" just isn't true. Freddie grew from amateur to maestro over 20-odd years and had MANY influences. His 70s constant: Hendrix+Liza. Robert Plant. 80s+ faves: Aretha, Caballe, George Michael, MJ. How many blues-y tunes did Queen do? very little.

  • that's his kids at 1:31

  • PAUL ROGERS IS GOD.....................

  • 4:06 holly shit!!!! thats is THE VOICE!!

  • @sebasayago word

  • the guy got it wrong, its not paul rodgers and queen its queen and paul rodgers

  • @springsteen96

I think this was before they did the collaboration :)

  • only ppl who dont know about music will talk bad about rodgers and his music.FREE for me is one of the best ever blues rock band of all time.Paul kossoff might have been one of the best ever blues guitarist if he had lived until today. This is rodgers song and he can sing it in whichever way he wants and only rodgers could do justice to queen songs too.

  • This tune embodies both Queen, Free, and I'm sorry...if it doesn't get you moving...you are dead!

  • People on this video are critizing Paul Rodgers for trying to becomes Freddie, first off he gives his own take on the songs and secondly is it me or this this song Pauls not Freddies? :)

  • @onemellowdude spot on, saw QPR on their last tour and for a Queen AND Free AND Bad Co fan like me it was superb. The Queen guys actually provided a fantastic platform for PR's classic like this one, IMHO as good as it gets. Sad QPR are no more.

  • sorry paul rogers sucks

  • @elsiea11 You obviously know very little about truelly good music with a such a pathetic comment...Paul Rodgers is one the greatest singers in Rock...His singing voice is a true gift!!!Nobody should make comparisons, Freddie Mercury, Robert Plant, Roger Daltrey, also masters of their craft...Paul Rodgers still has it!!!!!!!

  • @tootstanner well excuse me then. i happen to dislike paul rogers, and you must know very little about music also; everyone has different taste in music, i dont hate on people with different opinions because its still not going to change what they think

  • The Guys a Great vocalist and has been hand picked by queen members not to replace freddie but to keep the Queen legacy going and why not? Should the other guys just pack up thier shit and chuck it! I don't think so! If you have talent use it!

  • nobody can beat freddy mercury

  • @xirvin92 Freddie Mercury worshipped Paul ROdgers as a singer, So did Rod Stewart and the likes... During the 70's no vocalist came close to Rodgers standards, and they all new it.... Greatest voice in the business, show some respect... :-)

  • There are about 3 videos on YouTube where Brian comes in at the wrong point to this song. I love PR's reaction to them.

  • If anyone can guarantee the continuation of Queen, it is Paul Rodgers.

Old as we all are, he has the pipes that can at least make us imagine Freddy is still here. Paul also has the ability to bring in the awesome Bad Company catalog so it's a bit of a 2-fer... Freddy lives on - but so does Queen and I will continue to listen.

You Rock Paul Rodgers! Thank you for keeping a slice of my youth alive.

    Best...

  • Paul reminds me of danny bonaduci

  • Paul was amazing with Queen life. Hes 60 and his voice tour the building apart.

  • His voice has held up better than most over the years. He can still sing most songs in the same keys he did 30 years ago. Amazing. And Brian and Roger still got it, too.

  • God,.. Paul has one of the greatest rock voices ever,... EVER!!!!!!!!!!

  • Class 5*****

  • This song is a classic. Killer video.

  • If you want that classic tone that only a hand-wired valve amp can give check my site Voyce Electronics on my page..

    based in the UK

  • People tell me I sound like Paul Rogers. *brushes off finger-nails*

  • Class 5*****

  • PAUL RODGERS IS A LEGEND!!!

  • Please Paul & Queen TOUR AUSTRALIA !!!

Now's a good time with our strong exchange rate.

  • i don't know what you naysayers are talking about, Paul Rodgers has a transcendent voice and Brian May is smoking all over this song

  • maybe paul isnt exactly the perfect fit for queen or as good as freddie but you cant deny the fact that he is one of rocks all time greatest singers

  • Ummmmmmmmm, NO, it's Queen and Paul Rogers !

  • What's missing is the vibrato Paul Kossof wrung out of his Gibson. The man had fretting fingers of steel.

  • YUP...seen PR perform this live with his "seattle crew"..when it came to that riff the guy made no attempt...guessed it had to be kinda special..this was about year 2000 in Newcastle upon Tyne UK...well before the QUEEN connection..

  • Have to say this was better o/all than that night..and believe me ..The City Hall was shaking the foundations that night...

  • jamie theakstons a nobber

  • Una de mis canciones favoritas

  • if it would have been .....QUEEn + geporge michael ....it would have been super hit..... P . rodgers also is a good singer..!1

  • this is the best

  • Nice shot of Pauls kids at 1:31.

  • Is that Paul Rodger's or Koss' ?

  • Personally I think all Paul's songs, Free or Bad Company or solo, sounds alot better with Queen backing!

Brian and Roger are just supreme musicians!

  • i agree

  • exquisite

    it trully all right now

    go one, paul !

  • Good stuff!

I took my sons to Sheffield to see Q + PR.

    And, he's not Freddie Mercury.

But, he's a performer with experience, confidence and tremendous ability.

I actually concluded that the Sheffield concert was better than any other Queen performance I'd seen.

It was more raw, edgier, and decidedly more 'rock 'n roll'.

  • Lucky duckies you and your son are. :)

  • No question his vocals have only improved with age!

  • paul is so totally "the voice!" ~ i am so glad i checked out this vid ~ tasty, the way brian channeled the solo live. and what deal did paul make with the powers above, to maintain this power & versatility all these yrs down the line. rock on 4-evah ~ but oh yeah, does anyone have paul's solo release, "drifters," for youtube, puh-leeze! hasta-la-rockya, baby!

  • Paul, You Lucky Bastard. Singing, not having to play piano, or guitar, just singing with the greatest Rock Band in History. Priceless. your friend ,

    James Thomas

  • Excellent. Wow.

  • Free, Bad Company, The Firm and Queen. Paul is a hit for all times.

  • he was also in The Law

  • nobody is going to sing Freddie's songs like him. Just like most singers-they make THEIR songs. But Paul too me has always had one of the sexiest males voices ever and it has certainly taken very good of himself or had plastic surgery and hairplugs -can't really tell. Nothing against him-he still looks good and he can sing Feel Like Makin Love too me anytime!

  • brian may's guitar can sing!!

    i love this guitar!

  • this song isnt from queen.. am i right?

  • It's from Free the earliest notable Paul Rodgers group.

I have come to appreciate Paul more and more. I love the way he does his songs now more than when he released some of them 30 years ago.

  • yes, isn't a queen's song, it'a a song of the group free

  • paul rodgers = greatest voice ever

  • There's nothing better than Paul's dedication to Paul Kossoff and his son. That was really good.

  • Fantastic!!!

  • Absolutely outstanding!

  • paul rodgers and queen are so good

  • that songs called reaching out.

  • does anyone know...the name of the song...that paul rodgers sing in the begining in the song of eminem Beautiful ???

  • Comment removed

  • Paul Rodgers ist ein guter Sänger aber kein Ersatz für Freddy seine Stimme war einzigartig.

  • Adam Lambert is shit, you yanks might love him, we don't.

  • There she stood in the street Smilin' from her head to her feet. I said hey what is this now baby maybe Maybe she's in need of a kiss. I said a-hey, what's your name baby? Maybe we can see things the same. Now don't you wait, don't hesitate Let's move before they raise the parking rate (CHORUS) All right now, baby it's all right now All right now, baby it's all right now
  • I like the thing they did with Paul... I know he's not a Freddie, but thats a good thing. He's different.. And they got out to play again! But i like the "old" Queen more... I think it's sad on the other hand, that they haven't got aomeone to tour with.. then I can't see them again... at least for a while..

  • wow, that voice of his just gets stronger and more soulful. Since he keeps going from one band to another, I suggest he try Robin Trower next....

  • I like Paul Rodgers with Queen. He's got a great voice and range, but sounds very far from Freddy. That's why he's good, he's different. We're not getting a Freddy Mercury impersinator, but someone completely different!

  • not any more we aint lol who do u think is gonna be the next lead singer

  • Yeah I know. For the next lead signer I don't know, but it will be interesting to see!

  • chaps, chaps, chaps....what are you all thinking....if you do not think Paul Rodgers is good...you do not know Paul Rodgers...allow me to help you....go and listen to Free live at the Isle of Wight....amazing....then go and listen to Paul Rodgers singing Muddy Water Blues live...and tell me he hasn't got the best voice ever...he doesn't even need to try...it is a gift...praise him...bow down to him...I bet you Freddie did

  • @wonderlove09 if you think paul rodgers is better then Mercury...wow this will beat ANY vocals you've ever heard..../watch?v=Ks0L0pR8w8w

  • @wonderlove09 , Actually not only do I agree with you, but I want to confirm that in one situation Freddie said to May :"you keep coming with these complicated songs and you want me to sing this way and that way...who do you think I am Paul Rodgers?" What Freddie meant, is that Paul has this amazing voice and ability to sing a complicated song easily! All this coming from Freddie...!

  • I know noone cares about my opinion, but I feel I have to tell you anyway. I like Mercury a lot, but I'm more of a blues man and Paul has way more soul than Freddie ever had.

  • mem,ber87,too true hes the man no doubt,

  • not a fan of Paul Rodgers but props to the guy

  • This is excellent.

  • Paul Rodgers is a legend, like Plant - known as "The Voice" and like the poster of this vid said, brings his own magic to this. You really can't flaw his performances at all - he is totally awesome - not Freddie, but PAUL and THAT deserves a LOT of respect. What did you want QUeeen to do - die when Freddie did. I thinkk they've latched-on to a great thing here.....

  • agreed

  • Thank god Deacon was never part of this crap. Freddie Mercury forever.

  • Paul is not trying to be Freddie. This is just great Musicians doing what they do best. Performing great songs without Prejudice. just enjoy.

  • paul as good as mercury

  • Very good choice made by those from Queen

  • So many idiots, Paul Rodgers is a very big influence on Freddies vocals and he was a big fan of Free and Bad Company.

  • yeah, Freddie really wanted to have thicker voice than his voice. and Paul was very good example for Freddie. and Freddie really liked his voice... in conclusion, Paul is better than Freddie for Free's song, Freddie is better than Paul for Queen's song.

  • Man, He can still sing fantastically. i love that man's voice.

  • Its good to see that the retards dont let me down by making comparisons to Freddie & Paul.....Idiots

  • The live version of this by Free is the best...check out the album Free Live!

  • FREDDIE MERCURY is the BEST not PAUL RODGERS!!

  • Im sorry, Freddie was great but have you ever seen him sing at this level live?

  • i've never SEEN him, but i HEARD him singing! and it was at far better (at least completely different!) to paul... you can't compare them. listen to the live-aid-concert: best live freddie ever!

  • Live Aid wasn't so great because he sang particularly well that day, ive heard Freddie sing much much better than that live. It was great because of the way he entertained the crowd and how they responded. He was a good live singer but he was known more for the way he delivered his performances. Paul Rodgers can deliver keep his voice so flawless, you'd think it was recorded in a studio. Freddie could do that aswell, but not as persistantly, Paul has kept it like that throughout all performances.

  • are u jocking? Mr. Mercury is the best singer of all times, best band live, best band of history so far away

  • definitely

  • Hmm... do You now, can I get this performance on DVD or something like that?

  • you can hear and see this on the paul rodgers live in glascow dvd, this is without queen, paul with his band alone.

  • Paul Rodgers is amazing, amazing......god I remember when this song first came out.

  • If I was in charge this living hell called earth would be a paradise.

With music we can do it.

Keep on Rockin' in the free world!!!

But I'm just a humble "Prophet in common sense"

    Simson Samuelsson, Vänersborg, Sweden

  • Woooooo ...... Awesome. Love Q & PR

  • Paul Rogers pwns...My favorite vocalist...

  • BRIAN SHOWS WHO IS THE BBEESSTT.....

  • Whilst Brian May's interpretation of THAT solo is really great, the original stands tall in its extraordinary emotional intensity and unique sound...

  • jasonlee1 - two very enthusiastic thumbs up to your description of this video.

Paul does a great job giving Queen songs that bluesy edge.

Brian and Roger add their own little touches to Free/Bad Company songs.

They all sound great and they have fun playing together.

I hope they continue to make music together for a long time.

  • And I wholeheartedly agree with what Shari says~!!!!

  • This is what started Queen + Paul Rodgers

  • Best record Ever..

  • Paul Rodgers = The Voice!!

  • Paul Rodgers has some wicked Pipes

  • That's gotta be the BEST description I've ever seen! LMAO! XD You've made my day ;)

  • GREAT combination of 2 brilliant musos-paul rodgers & queen.Nobody can replace Freddie, why not enjoy this new phase ?BTW, all you youngster-go check bad comapany & Free for more top notch rock !!

  • I would normally hate someone new coming in {LIKE PINEADA IN JOURNEY BLAH} but paul rogers no matter what band he's been in usually rule i mean Free and Bad Co. are 2 of the best classic rock bands. As long as Paul keeps it rockin Q+R will rule.

  • Simon Kossof is Paul Kossof's brother

  • Paul's brother and his son are both called Simon

  • simon kossoff,dedicated?? somebody help,please?

  • It sounded like Paul Rodgers said Simon was Paul Kossoffs (sp) son. Paul was the guitarist for the band FREE, who originally did this song. Hope that helps ya 'mebloke69'

  • I love Paul Rodgers!

  • nice said jasonlee1 ;)

  • lol it is a diffenert band but what a bloody band it is and its queen and paul rodgers and they both just want to go out on a bang so at least give them some respect

  • I hate people being disrespectful for Mr Rodgers. If he wants to do this, then let him do this. It's not our choice, it's his.

  • Hang on a minute Q+PR. This is Paul Rodgers singing a song that made him famous. The original guitarist is dead. Besides which, this event was a chance pairing was it not - Rodgers and Queen were receiving significant awards. In the case of Queen music Freddie is dead! Are the other guys supposed to hang about with glum faces for rest of their lives?

  • Paul Rodgers has one powerhouse voice.

  • Awesome! even better when I saw 'em live at Manchester

  • i gotta admit...that's pretty fuckin' cool...was having my doubts about this queen 2.0, but it sounds just great...

  • I cannot believe how he throws the mike stand up at the end and it goes straight up and he catches it at the exact right beat and goes to his knee! And then at the last beat at the end, he does it again! This is not a young guy...amazing.

  • Paul is one hell of an entertainer, I'm not gay, but that voice :D

    Hehe

  • For those wishing to slate Paul Rodgers I have seen them twice at the O2 this year and they are amazing, keeping a great bands music alive, Freddy would be proud of Paul and the rest of guys as are the fans - no one is trying to take Freddie's place just keeping those happy memories and great music alive for us all and future generations! x

  • that's a LOT of bass at 1:23 and such.

    like, A LOT

man this song rocks so hard.

  • Sorry if this offends or upsets anyone but..

Why in the HELL would they continue the band without Freddy. No matter how much they love making music, without Freddy it's worthless. No, that's not what bothers me the most. What bothers me is that they call themselves Queen still. That's terrible. It's NOT Queen without Freddy Mercury.

  • Well actually they are continuing because they can. Queen was strong through Freddie and no-one will ever replace him but Queen will still rock. People like Paul Rogers will be good in some songs but not so good in others even if he belongs in Queen or not, nothing will stop them from rocking and everyone should know that. Sorry bout spelling.

  • sorry but it isnt queen! its not meant to be. its queen and paul rogers! music from queen, bad company and free. only 2 queen dudes there anyway with rogers and 3 unknowns. so its NOT queen. simple. i, for one, am glad that they are keeping the music of these 3 great bands alive!

  • yep. It's OTHER band.

  • Exactly. I just can't understand why people compare Q+PR to Queen, it's not supposed to be the same group, it's just a "coop" kinda thing. Why is it so hard for some people to understand such a simple fact?

  • howd you work that out?

  • Que pena!!!!! que falta vc faz Mercury ao ouvir está canção, pois vc era o espetáculo, onde estiver Saudações

  • these old rock legends are better than all the modern music bands and groups of this dacade put together if you can call it music. queen rocks

  • Couldn't agree more with you dude! These guys ROCK, and leave most of the rubbish that record these days to shame! Long live Paul Rodgers and Queen !!!!

  • Pauls more than alright... What a babe! never stop rockin Paul!!!

  • they're coming to Brazil. The ticket's price is astronomical and I would not pay more than U$ 30,00 for it. I rather buy a DVD with Mercury.

  • great guitarist, however paul kossoff was excellent.check out joe walsh playing same.

  • wow. joe walsh is excelent. why don't i know him?

  • you are riiight.

  • Paul is FUCING GOOD....The Best after FREDDIE...

  • Awesome! =D

    5/5 + fav

  • yummyyyyy!

  • LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOve it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • Roger Taylor is an awesome drummer. And on the current tour, he plays better than ever! Heard his drumming on the new album?

And check out his drum/upright bass solo from Kharkov a few weeks back, it's in pro-shot. Fantastic.

  • Exactly! Listen to the beauty that is Paul Rodgers' voice!

  • Hush children and listen to the beauty that is the music...

  • You looooooserr!!! Just shut up.

  • No, you suck!

  • Roger Taylor was good back in the days but he's lost now he's old. You suck too

  • Go away you silly silly person

  • they should be called freen... rofl...

  • Odjebi!

  • Just listen to his soulful singing and amazing adlibs!

  • tnjiric: No I'm quite the oppositte actually

  • ok then u know nothing about singing when paul is million times better then freddie

  • Respect to Freddy Mercury, but Paul Rodgers is absolutely is doing a great job there - he'll soon be popular enough also outside the USA&UK and he deserves it

  • forget the second is

  • Paul Rodgers is 1,000,000 times better than Freddie!!!

  • I disagree, but he is amazing. They're totally different. I know if he were still here everyone would want Freddie, but it's not to be. This is the BEST alternative we could possibly have. Better this than no Queen at all and again, Paul Rodgers is absolutely amazing, a class act. I know wherever Freddie is right now he'd be more than happy with this.
