Nice Video. I make IPA. I live in the UK and iterally next to the place Mr Fuggles found Fuggles hops, I still harvest his hops each year and am picking tomorrow. Interesting what you say about hazy APA. They can be hazy but it is your water that is to blame for that. IPA / APA should and can be clear, even with the hop oils. Took me a while to realise it was the water. Keep up the good work. Subsonic
@subsonic41grain Really, hops will cloud the beer and bring down the head retention. But I agree that water, and other variables, will affect cloudiness.
I also agree that an IPA should err on the pale side. Not that "Pale" has definitive perameters, but there are definitely "Amber Ales" and "Strong Ales" which are not IPA's. Call it for what it is.
It is not : "Indian Pale Ale", that would imply that it originated in India. It originated in England and was made for the British occupying India. American IPA originated in America and is therefor "American".
