I always remember playing the demo and thinking it looked and played better than the final product, better rendering and smoother graphics. Found that strange.

It's a good thing almost some people remember this on the Pizza Hut Demo Disk. I still have that disk as of today! :D

This beta is also on the greatest hits version of Tomb Raider ii. She sounded hot in the beta, but sounds meh in the final. :\

I think the pistol shots sounds might be the ones used in TR1 for some reason...anywhere, they sound much better here than in the final game.

This is so cool to watch, it's amazing how much they changed from this beta to the actual release.

The gun sounds are much better here than in the actual game. Is it just me, or were there no sounds of lasers in this level? I'm a particular fan of that. I was more fond of the levels that took place in buildings (TR3/TR5). These were the only real adventure games I could play with my low vision. I could rely on my hearing if a laser was in my path ahead of me.

i cant finish this ps1 demo O.o after launch the missile. i cant open the final trapdoor in the upper level with a guard in a tower an other guard on the floor..

does anybody know how to open?

on the actual tr3 this level starts off different this is like a combonation of the high security compound and area 51

I loved this game :)

The only thing that I hated was when Lara gets something (like an object: key, ammo, etc) it doesn't show what Lara picked up :S

The game is harder as hell that I almost get stuck in the 1rst level.

btw I loved the beta demo :) it was a lil bit different.

actually i have this very demo. it came on my tomb raider 2 game disk. so all who say its fake its not. ive played it. hard as hell too cause its pretty damn dark in some areas.

No, no es falso. Es la demo de Tomb Raider 3, de hecho yo aún conservo el disco de demos que me vino junto a la PSX cuando me la compraron, y entre todos los trials estaba este nivel beta de Tomb Raider 3, que en la versión final se dividió en dos (Prisión, y Area 51) Y no está programado con el motor de TR4, se ve claramente que es una previa a lo que quedó en el 3, la unica diferencia, y quizás por eso te confundiste, es que los items que recoges se muestran en pantalla.

The pistol shots in this game sound cooler that what was used in the final versions, imo.

Seeing what item you picked up in the lower right corner is also strangely missing in the final version of TR3, but is otherwise in all of the first 5 games including this beta. /shrug
