Questionable Ref Calls from the 2008 USC-Stanford Game

Clip 1 - totally agree. anyone with a brain knows that was a facemask.

Clip 2 - contact within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage while the ball is not in the air is legal. Replay the clip. Ball is still in Sanchez's hands. Good call.

Clip 3 - Face Guarding isn't a penalty. Williams doesn't even argue the call because he knows that he wasn't mugged.

None of those calls effected the game at all. The PI call was reversed, lol.

the way i see it, stanford fans can cry all they want about the game being close and some bad calls. the facts are that stanford led 17-10 in the second quarter and then after, USC ran off 35 unanswered points. It was 45-17 by the time stanford scored again. its a 4 quarter game!

I love how USC doesn't whine like Harbaugh and the cardinal. JH couldn't keep his big mouth shut all game, yelling at the refs, bitching and moaning like the San Antonio Spurs every time a penalty was called against his team, or not called against USC. It was embarrassing. Look at D. Williams after he got mugged in the 3rd clip. He doesn't cry like a baby even though he was playing against cheaters. USC is a team of real men. Stanford is a joke and they got destroyed.

lol ya it was tied AT THE START of the 3rd quarter. I watched the whole game, and it wasn't even close beginning after halftime. 45-23 (with your only points of the 2nd half coming in total junk time) is a fuckin blowout. I was AT the game. Not a blowout? Ask the Stanford fans that were leaving when USC went up by 7. They knew what was going to happen. When USC went up by 14, 2 out of 3 Stanford fans like a mob were leaving the stadium. Yes It was not a blowout in the first half. In the second half though, Stanford couldn't run or pass. They couldn't stop the USC run either. 45-23 doesn't sound like a blowout?

I've been waiting for someone to make this video. The officiating was terrible on both sides. I was at the game and saw Stanford commit perhaps 6 or 7 holding penalties in the first quarter. None were called. Spot on on your clips too. Terrible terrible officiating.
