Kraftwerk were new-looking, interesting, quirky, tried to look different but they had no sex appeal at all. Which was fine for a while, and then the synth business needed some shaking up. That's why Gary Numan and John Foxx must be thanked.

This song was based on BladeRunner. Before it was a film, it was a book. Numan had some of the best ideas in the 80's and 70's when it came to lyrics.
