i have an iMac 3.06 gb processor and it runs beautifully for me, im hitting all sorts of sites, using stupidly power excessive programs and yet this still runs so much more smoothly than every pc i have owned and i have done the same things on those pc's as i have with my mac now and i do believe whether the old ones ran faster etc, this still runs smoother then any pc i have ever used and still is virus free :)

You have a tool that is powerful enough in using to render 3D grapics, that look ultra realistic for films, or anything. Yes, it would take a while to render the graphics when it has to take every little detail in account, but it's very good. I do not use it for that, but their are people out the who do, like people we sell too.

I use the Apples along side the PC's. I can assure you that they are as good, if far, far better than any PC. Where I work we have a Apple Pro. Try a Apple Pro, with two quad core CPU's (3.2Ghz each), 32GB's or RAM and space for 4 9800 GX2. Thats a total of 8 GPU's and 4 GB's or VRAM, just for Graphics. Plus all the CPU's run in full 64 bit and are loaded with cach. Before you challange me, I've seen this with my own eyes and know what I say is true. It's very powerful.

No no, I'm saying that if you got an iPhone at $600 and say Microsoft's Motorola Q (although about any other smartphone applies here) for what... $90, that phone with $90 would end up costing you more over 2 years due to the subscription. Course this isn't true for all phones, just most. Apple did offer a $100 rebate to early adopters, but the real reason of the + 200 price was likely the cause of the negative spur the media gave it.

If on either phone you weren't forced to pay the service, then the Motorola would be cheaper. It wouldn't have as good as hardware and software, but it would be cheaper.

Doubt it. Macs last longer on average than most pcs. And unlike Vista, updating a mac to Leopard doesn't require you to add hardware just to install it, which is often the case for PC's. 90% of Microsoft's revenue is from selling it's OS to hardware manufacturers. A pc dies, you buy another, unknowing or unwilling of Apple, funding Microsoft another day.

Also apple drops support of back os's. Whereas Microsoft still supports all the way back to windows 95 thankfully.

Leopard isn't a service pack, it's an OS, $20 cheaper than Vista's most limited version. Macs update every month at the latest, for free. OS X Tiger outperforms Vista (and xp), and the reason why is because Vista was made to prove Microsoft's OS can look good too. That's why people are 'downgrading' to xp. Microsoft's 5 year old OS is actually faster than Vista.

As for "dropping back the support", Apple retail stores take care of that, free. Just pop in and ask them a question.

Have you used Vista? Have you looked at the source and understand the API's? Have you benched and searched for bugs?

I've been benching vista for months, comparing it to XP and basically busting it's balls and i've found nothing but better results, for starters there's a wave of new games coming for vista, DX10/10.1 (whichever ms goes with, i'm ready for both with my HD3850) and there's a bigger driver collection on windows update than ever before. Do your research first, then criticise.
