The price makes the plane unavailable to over 85% of the population of the US, GB, Canada or Australia. Of the 15% left only a small percentage would purchase. It's a great plane but it can only exist in the dreams of most people. Make one that is available to those that have to drive a $10,000 car. Seems no one wants poor customers. We are the ones that can only look at the pictures.

I am going to wait until they get a model that has VTOL, as well as submarine capabilities. I don't know why this is not already available, I mean its 2010! It would compliment my underwater lair well I think. That and sharks with laser beams attached to their heads of course.

it sounds really cool, but as a sport reacreational aircraft (sra) it is useless if it is incapable of vertical take-off and landing. An amphibius sra with hovering and vertical capabilities will not be a bad idea in short, a hybridised amphibius recreational sports helioplane (HARSH)

Depends where you live 232lalas. Vertical take-off is not necessary at all if your live on the coast or a place with many lakes. In Canada, lakes have been used as "runways" for many years with the "Beaver" plane equipped with pontoons. There are lakes within every 5 miles spreading across the country including networks of refueling docks and shops. The Icon's range is 300 miles. I am sure if you were efficient at flight planning you could make this plane work anywhere.
