  • man i wanna see you redo that ke175 your damn good at wat u do

  • you know pumping the throttle doesn't do anything on a bike cuz the carburetors don't have accelerator pumps or primers, just sayin

  • they sound alot better than any of the newer ones,

im an older dirtbiker from the 70's,

I like 2 strokes alot better than 4 strokes.

  • @kirkconway Hell yeah man... you'd have a blast at my place! I'm full of old 70's 2 strokes! Gotta love em!

    Thanks for watching man!

  • Thumbs up for mass smoke rings from the exhaust

  • @diggaification Oh yeah... that always helps! ;)

  • Thats bad ass, I just bought one a couple months ago same year and size. I've climbed some steep steep hills with this puppy. Very durable!

  • @Gspikelee Sweet... yeah they are some tough bikes! Very forgiving... I've taught alot of people how to ride on this bike over the years... and she still runs great after lots of abuse!

  • @Gspikelee dont do alot of hill climbs it will kill the top end :)

  • what a beast

  • @atomichurley Yeah she's always been real good to me! Thanks for watching!

  • @SuperSsherwood I'll sned you a pm.

  • @jfrost77hd well that's not to bad. I was going to need to fix the whole engine. And tires

  • @jfrost77hd does she ever need to be fixed up? Looks nice. I was going to buy a ke 175 Crome 1975

  • @ningaponer6 I really havent done much besides change the oil, a clutch, and tires. Other than that this is one of the oldest, most reliable bikes I've had.

  • I had a 76 175 and it got messed up so i worked 3 weeks on it i tore the engine down and literately tore it down so i took it to the shop and mygas was turned off ;(

  • @Gmoney4296 Wow... man you got to be kidding me! We'll I'm a sucker for leaving the kill switch off every once in awhile. Hope they didnt charge you too much! ;)

  • Congrats man. Glad she started

  • @ningaponer6 Hey thanks man... alittle stubborn sometimes but she'll always fire!

  • aww man, i miss my bike=(

  • @215rant Yeah sure are alot of fun!

  • I like the look of the bike. Great sound too.

  • @hughs2007 Hey thanks... yeah its been through hell but has always been really good to me! Thanks for watching!

  • mines red lol idk why and idk if its a 2 stroke

  • @xxspeedxxdemon If it's one of these old Kawasaki's it's a 2-stroke.

  • Ah, yes...I had a 1976 KD-175 for many years. This one brings back many memories. It sounds exactly the same as mine; that rotary valve intake engine sounded unique. That being said, mine had a few differences: there was no fork brace, and the choke did not have a handlebar lever; it had a knob mounted directly on the choke rod outside the carb boot on the right side case. Also, that thing smokes like a bastard; check the oil injector pump setting - needs adjustment...

  • @beeroosterm Yeah definetly sound unique... I've had many people not use to them think something was majorly wrong. I had a different one twice maybe I'll see it again someday, always been real happy with them! This thing will always start up, I've cleaned the carb twice in 9 years and clutch plates. She's a Champ! Thanks for watching!

  • @jfrost77hd I had big problems with mine in the beginning. Once fixed, however, I never had another problem in 25,000 miles (I registered it for the street and used it every day for 3 years). After I bought my first street bike in 1980, I left it under the back deck for years. When i went to start it up, the piston was frozen. I unstuck the thing, changed the gas, and it fired up in two kicks. Gotta love that electronic ignition.

  • @beeroosterm Man that's awesome! The other one I had I bought for $35 that sat for years. I cleaned the carb replaced the plugs and it fired right up... well the clutch wasnt adjusted right. so I put it in gear and it took me staight into my moms grill and into the privacy fence. ;) So I cleaned it all up and sold it for $600, 4 years later saw it for sale again and bought it for $50. I had to replace the cdi ignition box, rode it for a year and then sold it for $600 again! Like to seeit again!

  • i love the old ones they'll always start when you need them to

  • @newdirtbike Yeah I usually have alot better luck with these older bikes... just made alot tougher! Thanks for watching!

  • ha sounds just like my 73 kawasaki 100 i bought for 800 bucks =)

also dont think it sounds weird at all

  • @indy34096 Yeah their good old bikes! Had it out today on the ice... my buddy ate it over and over again! I'll post that in the next few days! Thanks for watching man!

  • i might be getting one of these. i was wandering if this was a good starter bike. Because i have 0 experience. any1 know?

  • @MrPrimoTurismo It's a great starter bike, it was my first bike that I learned on! It's been very forgiving and has taken a beating, and I still enjoy riding it!

  • @jfrost77hd oh thax for reply, thats good to hear.

  • @MrPrimoTurismo Yeah I've had a few of these and they've always been real reliable!

  • Awesome bike man!! Does anyone know what years they made it??

  • @nocki5oh I'm not sure off hand, but there was a Kd and a Ke, I've had 77's and 76's. Thanks for watching!

  • i gotta get me and old twostroke i got to many old thumpers

  • @3WHEELERMAN8483S Yeah I've actually had really good luck getting old 2-strokes for cheap and really not have to do awhole lot to them....just the basics and they run pretty good!

  • Great to see and hear your bike. I had a green ke175 thirty years ago and your video brings back great memories, thanks for posting. Cheers.

  • @Thelulathelula Hey not a problem... what a great old bike, had it out over the weekend playing in the snow it's a champ! I'll post some more videos soon!

  • @jfrost77hd Thanks man, i remember how i loved that distinctive whine from the motor as you ride off and i can hear it on yours. Cheers.

  • @Thelulathelula...Yeah kinda funny I've got a few of these old bikes and people will hear them and say ''man somethings wrong with that thing it sounds crazy'' but they just have that distinctive sound. Cheers to you!

  • nice bike

  • @15zerosheen Thanks man!

  • lol nice bike iv got a kawasaki kh 125

  • Restore her man.

  • @MichaelD400 I've thought about it...maybe sometime down the road, I've got soo many other projects right now, but good idea!

  • LOVE the smell of two strokes in the morning

  • @shercoogsherco Yeah definetly a great smell!

  • Love the sound of two-stroke!!! I have a 1978 KE175 myself. Great bike and fun as hell to ride.

  • @rothris.... Yeah I've had a few of these, great bikes, tough as hell, I've beat the crap out of this thing considering it was my first bike, still runs Great! Thanks for the comment!

  • Thanks man, well do next time.

  • Hey man, I put to much oil in the gas so now it won't start, anything I could do or do I just have to wait it out?

  • @215rant ... You could either try adding more gas or pull the fuel line off the carburetor and let it drain out and refill it with the correct mixture. Either way probably change the spark plug too since its probably fouled out.

  • Yeah, I put a new video on my acount if you want to check it out and see what mine looks like. I think the older bikes sound better then the new ones.

  • @215rant Yeah looks nice!

  • Yes they do, and I love it! I want too sell mine for money a 1989 4.3 fuel injection blazer but idk if I want too or not. My motorcycle is an Enduro, I have some lights for it and I want to get it fixed so I can lic. It cruse down the street with it, but it over heats to fast which sucks butthole.

  • @215rant Yeah mine had lights and stuff on it long before I got it, at one time thought about putting some back on and doing the same.

  • Nice man!! I have a 1974 Kawasaki g5 100cc and it sucks to start. But man you lucky to have that bike man, I love the way the older bikes sound.

  • @215rant....The sure do have a unique sound to them!

  • Nice man!!! I have a 1974 Kawasaki g5 100cc. And it sucks to start. But man you lucky to have that bike.

P.s I love it how you call the bike " girl" . Never really thought of that:)

  • @215rant .... Yeah I've thought about selling this bike many times but glad I didnt. She's my girl most of the time....but theres been times I've called her alot more than just that!!! lol Thanks for the Comments!

  • Love it, Dude!!!

  • nice video. awesome bike. sounds exactly my 78 model. old school dirt bikes have so much more character than the newer ones(imho). thanks for posting. PS (what are those other toys in the background?)

  • I've got all kinds of toys...I have videos on most of them if you care to check them out. I've also got the Kawasaki's rival the Can am 175!

  • Donuts on a dirt bike! Yeehaa!

  • I had a 76 kawasaki 125 when i was in high school. I can't remember exactly what model it was but the gas tank was orange and black.

  • I've had a few of these bikes ...I believe the 125's and 175's were all Ke and Kd's. Both tough old bikes!

  • Ya that sounds right. Mine was tough, and then we rebuilt the engine and it was a lot tougher.. Good times. We got bored one day and turned it into a chopper though.. it was one of a kind.. I wonder where it is now though..

  • That's when they knew how to make dirt bikes, I used to have a couple of 72 Yamahas and Suzukis. What a blast!!

  • Yeah I've rode this bike hard over the years....but she always starts up! Cleaned the carb once and replaced the clutch years ago, their tough old bikes!
