@41lion its because of poverty most of them do bad things like killing and stealling because they dont have a job and they dont know where to get food to feed theyre families thats why the only thing to do living is to steal or kill in order to feed the hungry stomachs of their children, and some of them ddnt even graduate in HS or reached elementary

@41lion to answer that question you will have to ask the inmates themselves individually, they will have their own unique story to tell each and everyone of them.

80% of them are there due to actions caused by poverty

Don't know who the lead dancer is, but he's fantastic. i admit it is cool that their doing this to do something positive to possibly have a future after prison and to reduce violence and crime to promote a positive message and it just plain out entertaining. BUT, did anybody think why these prisoners are so "nice"? they always got a drag queen in the thriller number, and some of the guys got a lil sugar in their tank. the gaurds might not be cleanin up blood, but i bet they've mopped up a far share of jizz. theres a lot of but fucking in there i bet

This is a really good idea from a psychological perspective. Not only does it probably unify them and give them exercise, but it also gives them a chance to be appreciated by society, which is something they're not used to. Perhaps it could even give them a new perspective when they are released

I admit, Inmates in the philippines are more likely UNVIOLENT. not like in 'OTHER' countries. Because they dont stab,kill,shoot,ETC. each other! instead of taking time having dancing lessons/reading/having as many friends in prison. :D

Filipinos are great dancers... Most of the contestants in the reality dance show "America's Next dance Crew" are composed of Filipino dancers or if not one or two of them are Filipinos. Nicole Scherzinger, apple de ap, Vanessa Hudgens, charice, Jabbawockeez and Supercrew are Filipinos... that just shows that Filipino talents are great!

If you ever get a chance to see a school have one of their festivities, you should go! Even kids in the 1st grade dance a choreographed dance. It's really quite fun. Doing dances like that really helps with the Filipino soul and keeps us closer together. I wish I could've grown up more in the Philippines because of that. We lack that here in the U.S. and it makes me sad. Students there are so much closer than the students here. God bless! ^_^

I hope the impressionable minds do not admire them but rather, they understand that those people are good and can come together for something as simple as dancing. It's possible to have some sort of order in the Philippines. This makes me proud to be a Filipino [it's kinda sad but oh well.].

The inmates develop coordination of movements. Useful skill when fighting on the streets. The choreography makes their mind sharper when planning the crimes. Furthermore they learn how to organise big groups of themselves and create organised crime groups.
