The starter is a late model gear reduction starter from dbelectrical on ebay...they sell for $60....I have had great luck with their stuff...thanks for all the comments, guys....more video to come. And the exhaust at this time is dumped at the rear end.
My dad found one and restored, he was lucky to find one with entirior still fully intact, all original, even the radio. Re-painted and even had the hood ordement, but someone swiped that... he is selling and im thinking of buying it from him. Nice car, thanks for posting.

Never heard a starter like that before... but this 289 sounds nice, usually they sound like tractors lol
