I think this is cool for a number of reasons. If anyone ever wanted to point out the importance of a bass guitarist you could say he fills the distance between the drummer and lead.

But besides that....why did you setup so far apart? To isolate for the camera?

yeah the setting up far apart was just like a weird experiment. I wanted to get the scope and size of that ranch. with us spread out it allows for some epic shots. If we were closer together, it would look kinda flat. I also like how the audio mix changes in relation to the camera, when it's close to drums u hear mostly drums and vice versa. Since the camerawork was improvised, the audio mix has a improv feel.

that's different, was that kit miked up? sounded louder and fuller away from it that up close... nice to be able to jam outdoors without any noise complaints, and the dog is so cool!

kit not miced up... i think it sounds better far away because the mic on the camera has a limiter on it that limits the audio peak if it is going to distort, so when its far away it, it's not a "muffled" sound since it's not at distortion levels...probably i dunno
