Hey W Dusty, you seem to be a cool guy! Believe it or not, i wanted to tour Springfield, the downtown area in may of 2007! I practically lived downtown springfield in the 1960's (with my mother) and the 1970's (when i went to college at AIC) I plan on doing this tour this may 2011. Have you been in Springfield Cemetery?
Sounds funny but its a magic place. All of Springfield was magic, and i have watched it go up and down over the years. Thank you for your videos.
@samuelLjackson5 LOL @ Springfield not being a "real city." I've heard that you shouldn't call an ignorant person ignorant, but this deserves it: you are ignorant, samuelLjackson5.
I actually lived in 313 Maple street mansion. My mother watched this and would like to thank you for making this. She said that She and my father lived there when they built the apartment complex next to the mansion and they were upset. Thanks again for this interesting video.
These videos are great. I remember so much-like Classical HS, Van Horn Park and the hill, playing hockey, Forbes& Wallace, Steigers, keeping a trunk full of sand and a shovel in the Impala for snowstorms, etc.
Great videos my friend, thank you. I was born and raised in Springfield. I own a home in the East Springfield section now. I've watched a lot happen to Springfield in my 44 years here. I believe in and love this city (hard at times! LOL!) and will stay loyal to it, through the good times and bad. Thanks again for the videos.
Hi from Las Vegas, where I do stand-up comedy in casino shows! I lived in The Maples Apt. Complex in 1978! Use to love walking downtown from there and hit the bars. Springfield was jumping back then! In 1978 I was performing at Riverside Park in a Trotter Bros. show. The Maples also housed actors appearing at a nearby dinner-theatre (Coachlight?) I have been back to visit Springfield probably twenty times since I lived there, Charming city, too bad the economy there has been in decline.
I love this!!! I miss Springfield so much... i lived there for two years and they truely were the best times of my life!!! I now and back in Houston where I grew up and to be honest... the south sucks... People up north have so much more passion and spirit for life!! God Bless and thank you!!!
