Thank god I was born in the 90s. Cartoon Network had freaking life in it. Nothing was forced, the shows, promos, bumpers, CARTOON CITY, and all that made them all feel connected and special as if they were one very real entity. When I watched the channel, I felt immersed. You got to discover in the breaks about the characters' true traits behind the scenes. People don't understand how different the channel used to be. The characters and shows felt alive! The shows had plots I cared about too!
Oh yeah, I remember Out Of Jimmys Head. It came on when I was like 10. NO ONE LIKED IT. I remember, everyone at our school hated it. You know you have a bad show when even the kids don't like it.

I HATED 90's cartoons. They were plain terrible. Even as a little girl, I hated them. I never watched TV because nothing but shit was on. I played outside and got sunburned, which I prefered. When, as lots of people say "Cartoon Network died", is when I got interested in TV. But whenever cartoons from the 90s came on I turned the TV on. The new Toonami started around on saturdays and went on in the wee hours in the morning, thats how they started the new one off, thats one of the things of CN I remember from those days. The thing i miss most of all is and it will always be Toonami, and there own website.

In Cn latin America, we have only two live-actions (thank god!)...yet! But the nowadays cartoons sucks, specially The Twisted Whiskers Show, Casper's Scare School, Zeke's Pad, Master Raindrop, Jonhy Test, Garfield 3D, Bakugan, Eliot's kid etc. In this month, CN got better with the return of Ed, Edd n Eddy, Foster's Mansion and Dragon Ball Z...
I'm so glad CN Real was derided by critics and the block with all of its shows (except Dude What Would Happen and Destroy Build Destroy) got cancelled.
That block was probably CN's worst ideas even in its history, and it can rot and die in a hellhole for all I care.
Sym-Bionic Titan is the best thing to hit Cartoon Network in a long time. Not too much else worth watching on the network except the C-Grade quality of shows such as Adventure Time, Chowder, Ben 10, the new Scooby-Doo series and Generator Rex, and some of the great oldies that they tend to mix in there sometimes. I didn't like 6teen, TDI, and Stoked at first they grew on me, most especially 6teen. 6teen/Stoked are gone and TDI World Tour is a TOTAL TRAIN WRECK :(.
It seems like the 90's were a kind of golden age for CN, we didn't have cable at the house but my brothers and I would watch it whenever we got a chance, like on hotel TVs when we were on vacation. There were real cartoons back then, now it seems like it's all boring animation with no real acting. It seems like everything is somewhere between the old CN and bad Japanese anime. And the live action crap. CN needs to be put down like a dying dog to make room for real cartoonists.

It's true. I remember when I was younger how they always gave older shows like Courage The Cowardly Dog and Teen Titans, those were my favorites! Also Powerpuff Girls, Scooby Doo, Baby Looney Toones! And Boomerang. The Flinstones and all that stuff. "Cartoon Network" is made for CARTOONS! Now they make real life shows. And now they only give Courage The Cowardly Dog 10 times a week! Chowder is ok most of the time. Childish and banal at its worst, and good at its best. But its best moments are too rare for it to be a truly good show.
It is entertaining but that is all it is. Not something people would consider discussing 20 years later as a feat of animation or download with torrents.

Oh lord... Cartoon Cartoon Fridays was awesome. It gave everyone something new to look forward to at the end of the week. Not to mention the interactive stuff they did. Like when they played pilot episodes for a lot of different cartoons and had kids vote which one they liked best. That's what kicked off Codename: Kids Next Door- probably the best concept for any kids show I've ever seen.

I think it started to go downhill after they got rid of the CG Cartoon Network town in 2005. I know that this has literally been said 100's of times, but Cartoon Network has been revamped into pretty much shit.
Cartoon Network declined ever since Moogazi replaced Toonami on weekdays. Then shows like Totally Spies, Code Laoko, Camp Laslo came out and Cartoon Network slowly but surely died. I started to watch Cartoon Network in 1999. I stopped watching it after 2005.

Alot of the shows now suck. The only show I love and keep track of is regular show, because its actually funny and original and has decent animation.
Adventure time is meh, but too random. And often it feels like someone is shooting me in the face with a rainbow gun.
Total drama {place stupid scenario here} is like, a show for young adults but orriented for kids or something.
And all the rest isn't worth mentioning.

I used to watch this channel 24/7 lol, i would hide the remote from my mom so she wouldnt change the channel, then they canceled all the good shows, ive grown up, that was like 5 or 6 years ago, but i wish they kept some of the old shows, i enjoy watching some old cartoons every now and then, remembering my childhood, i wish i didnt have to find them on the internet instead of the channels i used to enjoy them on =/

I also grew up watching Cartoon Network. Ed Edd n Eddy My favorite show. Now when i look at todays CN. it makes me wonder what the fuck happen to the good shows. Ed Edd n Eddy , The Powerpuff girls, Jonny Bravo, Courage the Cowardly dog so forthwith.. My only reason to watch CN is Ed Edd n Eddy. But now its hardly being aired.....

In Cn latin America, we have only two live-actions (thank god!)...yet! But the nowadays cartoons sucks, specially The Twisted Whiskers Show, Casper's Scare School, Zeke's Pad, Master Raindrop, Jonhy Test, Garfield 3D, Bakugan, Eliot's kid etc. In this month, CN got better with the return of Ed, Edd n Eddy, Foster's Mansion and Dragon Ball Z...

I'm so glad CN Real was derided by critics and the block with all of its shows (except Dude What Would Happen and Destroy Build Destroy) got cancelled.
That block was probably CN's worst ideas even in its history, and it can rot and die in a hellhole for all I care.

Sym-Bionic Titan is the best thing to hit Cartoon Network in a long time. Not too much else worth watching on the network except the C-Grade quality of shows such as Adventure Time, Chowder, Ben 10, the new Scooby-Doo series and Generator Rex, and some of the great oldies that they tend to mix in there sometimes. I didn't like 6teen, TDI, and Stoked at first they grew on me, most especially 6teen. 6teen/Stoked are gone and TDI World Tour is a TOTAL TRAIN WRECK :(.

It seems like the 90's were a kind of golden age for CN, we didn't have cable at the house but my brothers and I would watch it whenever we got a chance, like on hotel TVs when we were on vacation. There were real cartoons back then, now it seems like it's all boring animation with no real acting. It seems like everything is somewhere between the old CN and bad Japanese anime. And the live action crap. CN needs to be put down like a dying dog to make room for real cartoonists.

@unknowndude941 In fact, I think Adventure Time is a show that reminds me of Cartoon Network's previous shows. Everything else is just ok/average on there. The Canadian teen stuff (Stoked, 6teen, Total Drama _____) needs to be shoveled onto Teenick/Disney, it belongs there, not on CN.

It's true. I remember when I was younger how they always gave older shows like Courage The Cowardly Dog and Teen Titans, those were my favorites! Also Powerpuff Girls, Scooby Doo, Baby Looney Toones! And Boomerang. The Flinstones and all that stuff. "Cartoon Network" is made for CARTOONS! Now they make real life shows. And now they only give Courage The Cowardly Dog 10 times a week! I remember when they gave it alot. Cartoon Newtwork changed, ALOT. :[

Cartoon Network was awesome "back in the day". My favorite show was definitely Teen Titans. Dexter's Lab, Powerpuff Girls, KND, (etc.) were the best shows ever. Now, CN is a bunch of crap. I used to look forward to Cartoon Cartoon Fridays and then they cancelled it and replaced it with something really stupid.

I had a theory, though, you may not agree.
It was a good thing that they took off all the great shows, because if they were still around today, they would have probably been ruined by now, and we wouldn't be able to gaip in the glory that was the cartoon shows of the past.

@RuuriruSuzukai I would not compare Chowder with classics like Dexter's Lab, Powerpuff Girls, and the holy grail, Samurai Jack.
Chowder is ok most of the time. Childish and banal at its worst, and good at its best. But its best moments are too rare for it to be a truly good show.
It is entertaining but that is all it is. Not something people would consider discussing 20 years later as a feat of animation or download with torrents.
Not a horrible show but not up to the standards of the old CN.

Oh lord... Cartoon Cartoon Fridays was awesome. It gave everyone something new to look forward to at the end of the week. Not to mention the interactive stuff they did. Like when they played pilot episodes for a lot of different cartoons and had kids vote which one they liked best. That's what kicked off Codename: Kids Next Door- probably the best concept for any kids show I've ever seen.

Face it, no matter who you are, including on Youtube, EVERYBODY will say that Cartoon Network, *eh hem*, excuse me, "CN REAL", sucks in some way,shape, form, or fashion! I think it started to go downhill after they got rid of the CG Cartoon Network town in 2005. I know that this has literally been said 100's of times, but Cartoon Network has been revamped into pretty much shit.

Cartoon Network declined ever since Moogazi replaced Toonami on weekdays. Then shows like Totally Spies, Code Laoko, Camp Laslo came out and Cartoon Network slowly but surely died. I started to watch Cartoon Network in 1999. I stopped watching it after 2005.
