Interesting, I was just there two months ago. You can buy a bucket of bait fish to feed them. It's fun bit a little scary. Some of them weigh over 100 lbs.

they're real gristly and yucky, not really an edible fish. but they're monster game fish, so you can fish for em and release em, unless you keep one for a trophy. but u dont eat em. they leap outta the water too! they're actually a relative of the carp. hope that helps.

a carp is a bottom feeder and mostly eats grass. Tarpon is a carnivoure and is a surface dwelling fish. They are not related in any way. NO WAY!

they are tarpon, that are at this marina almost every day, and all the fishermen and boaters here in miami know them and what they are.
