  • I wished obsidian took the time to fully develop Bishop as a Romantic Interest. And made the betrayal more relative to influence, per say, if you have higher influence with Casavir, Bishop betrays you, if the opposite then Casavir betrays you. Casavir was after all quick to leave Neverwinter because he killed the other man that wanted Ophala. And I even had Casavir saying that following my character was an ordeal. So maybe it could happen like with Aribeth in NWN1 and him becoming a blackguard

  • I love playing these two against each other XD Then just deny it all at the end. I must admit this game is legendary for the things you can do to screw over your companions. Play Bishop and Casavir against each other, play Sand and Qara against each other and of course asking Elanee if she was offering when she complimented your parenting :P

  • That Bishop's a no-good rebel who needs to straighten up and fly right.

  • what was your character alignment and influence with the two of them?

  • anyone have any idea what triggers this?

  • @QueenofBlades56 near the end of chapter 2 if you have higher influence with Bishop than Casavir. I had over 20 points of influence and got this scene. My character was Chaotic Good nonetheless.

  • Obviously Bishop is the evil twin of Alistair from Dragon Age.

  • How could anyone like Bishop when he thinks of you as 'a wench' :-P Casavir is a gentleman and at the end makes the ultimate sacrifice to save others (you learn about this in motb) while Bishop is just selfish and loathesome (chaotic evil after all) When he ended up at the wall, honestly I just laughed.

  • @Jeet27 Depending on how you got along with the characters, Bishop tells you why he betrayed you to begin with, IIRC. It was egoistic, yeah, but he almost would have kept going with your PC if it weren't for Duncan and his debt. I hated him too at first. The ending shed some light into his character and motives, though, which I really liked because the actual complexity of his character became more apparent. I love Casavir as well, but Bishop turned out to be the more interesting one to me.

  • Oh my god... why do those two remind me of the singers of Celtic Thunder singing "That's a Woman"...?

  • Confused. I've played through the game and not once did I get a conversation like this. I got the crossroads keep conversation but not this one. Please tell me how you can get this conversation!

  • Asa siegal's (Bishop's) voice is delicious.

  • "When I shoot an arrow, it doesn't miss."

Maybe I'm just being a pervert, but there as *got* to be a euphemism in there...somewhere...

  • when I shoot an arrow, it doesn't miss xD

  • Oh yeah. That's why I liked NWN2.

  • Who was the girl? Was it a PC?

  • This is why you can never claim to have seen everything in NWN 2 till you have played it through several times :) So much stuff going on; though it's kinda a shame that high and low influence didn't have the ultimate effect till the closing stages when Black Garius attempts to turn people on you; though I know in the Kelgar vision quest influence was very important. I mean it just seems odd that if you had low influence with Shandra she'd still go into the haven anyway etc

  • In regards to influence I think more paths should've been available to you but other than that it's a fine story; would've been great if influence with some characters altered the main story at times though :) It just seems more believable if you had a low influence with a character such as Shandra; she wouldn't care if you were successful in getting the blade together or not and wouldn't go near the haven at all; that's one of the things that springs to mind.

  • alright...nielsdejong and HackersSun

are you two bitches or faggots??

  • Besides from been an excellent character, Bishop's VA is major cause for his hotness.

  • Bishop is so hawtttt!!!!!!

  • Casavir's voice, it sounds so... naaaaaughty.

  • God, I love Bishop's voice. His voiceactor is sorely underused.

  • Bishop...he is the best men I have ever met in rpg games ;> ! So hot <3

  • @xXHana3Xx

    Yet he's also a chauvinist pig who sees you as a sex toy and will kill you once the opportunity arrises ^^;

    Don't get me wrong, I love his voice actor, and he is an interesting villain :) But I just don't get the "bad boy" sexual attraction to him ^^;

  • @nielsdejong

Well, that's your opinion. Casavir was a little bit boring for me, and Bishop was a really interesting character. I think, that at the beginning he was really 'bad boy' but later, he showed his other face :D I had good relation with him, so he never wanted to kill me : >

But I'm strange, because in Dragon Age I prefered Alistair ._.

  • @xXHana3Xx

XD I don't blame you :) Alistair is amazing nomatter what your Alignment is ;)

Who says that girls are only attracted to the bad boys? :)

  • that's hot

  • oh Bishop is so sweet XD

  • Hahaha swamp boar. :D Bishop is so awesome!

  • hm i've not played this game but so far i kinda like bishop's personality

  • what girl are they talking about?katrina?

  • @Panosss1992 no the player

  • @kankuj23 must be female huh?

  • @Panosss1992 yes

  • Think I'll play a guy for this game, so far I'm not really feeling the romance for either of these men.

  • O_o any one sense that allistair from dragon was based off this? Only.. a little more sarcastic?

  • @HackersSun whatttt??? Alistair is nothing like Bishop! o_o Unless you mean Casavir. But Casavir is a tightwad and isn't ever really friendly.

  • Allistair and Bishop look alike :D

Aliistair from what Ive seen is bishop's anti-self!!

  • Bishop is a prick and if you've played NWN2 you'll know why. He gives you back talk and his pretty useless on the battlefield too unlike Alistair. Alistair is funny and Bishop is a tight ass Ranger.

  • @HackersSun Theyy... look nothing alike, in my opinion ._.; but... alright.

You should probably play through both NWN2 and Dragon age completely before assuming that Alistair is bishop's "anti-self"--the characters really are nothing alike, not in motivations, morality, backgrounds, or anything.

  • Ok... I played through, [and you might want to stand back I got some stuff to unload..]

WWWWWWWWWWWWAAAAAH!!! ENNDINNNGG SSUCCKKEEDD!! Wheres the cliche happy ending?!?! isn't the point of these rpg's?!?! You're the mighty hero out to slay the great evil then you get a heroic ending?!?! wahhhh!!!

Somehow.. all you people who played this game failed to mention that detail..

That being said... I still kinda think that He is Alistair's comlpete opposite, he's rude, useless and an asshole.

  • @HackersSun Ahahah! True true. But thats what makes it memorable. :D

And you really ought to give Bishop a chance. I mean, I suppose I was wrong--Bishop and Alistair are alike in their need for revenge--but Bishop is quite fun. Sure, he can be something of an asshole, but I loved that he actually treated your character as an equal. He had the balls to stand up to KC and give his opinion but overall, as shown in this video, he trusts your judgements if you can get him to open up.

  • I kinda stopped hating Bishop mid through the game and came to terms of respect because he was so honest. It still didn't change the fact that he is an ass, but I respect him.

As for the ending, THANK GOD for the mask of betrayer and ending mods :D

  • @HackersSun Oh, I hear you! The original ending was especially frustrating if you were in a romance and you convince him to be a better person in the end.

  • @Goldfishyy707

Well that's just that. I liked him as a villain kind of guy (he was interesting), but while he does trust your judgements and gives his opinion, in the end you are still garbage to him :)

Also while Alistair does have his flaws (you call him whiney, but I say it makes him more of a person then a mary sue :)), he at least is genuine about helping you, and actually truly cares about you :)

Plus he has all the rights to kill off Loghain for murdering his father

    just my two cents

  • @HackersSun Also, ironically enough, Alistair can be rude, useless, and an asshole as well. Ever tried making one itty bitty tiny decision he doesn't like? It's ridiculous how much he'll complain and bitch about it. Not to mention how god-awful his reactions are to bigger decisions--just try saving Loghain. That is probably the biggest WTF moment in that game. (read the book The Stolen Throne if you're having trouble finding empathy for his character. You'll never see Loghain the same way again)

  • ppifftt. I virtually hated alistair after my thrid playthrough. He WOULD'T stop complaining!!! Wahhh! Wahh!! Dunccaaan!! [honestly what the f*&# is so great about duncan?!?!] I liked Lohgain ten times better then him especially after talking to him, he seemed reasonable, but kinda driven mad and over the edge with his fear with Orlas... Lohgain:[-twitch twitch- Orlas...]

-glomps lohgain- NEVER LEAVE MEH!! ~<3 x3

  • @HackersSun

You mean the guy who helps murder the Couslands/Enslaves the elves/kills the king?

    He may be "reasonable" but that doesn't make him less of a bastard ^^;

Also, how would you have reacted had the same happened to you? I'm happy they made Alistair somewhat realistic :) Plus Duncan was his example and pretty much his father? :)

    Oh well :) To each their own ^^;

  • @nielsdejong >> Murder the couslands? that was Howe...

He may be a bit of a bastard, but at least he doesn't cry everytime a mention of Duncan's Name, a dude I knew for about five minutes, and he for six months...

And he doesn't use the phrase "No one cares what IIII want!" (well, of coarse, theres a friggin blight around you! the world damn world ain't about you!)

  • @HackersSun

Loghain was STILL in it! Howe was able to do it because Loghain supported him, remember? :)

And your hating him because he's crying over the loss of a man who was like a father to him? Or better said the only father to him?

He has flaws alright, but at least he doesn't betray you like Bishop did When the friggen world needed you to fight the big murdering monstrocities!

    Sheez...

  • @nielsdejong

Yes, Yes, he killed the king, enslaved the elves, For the king, That was his own fault... For the elves, he, (and I don't know where he got this... Y_Y) thought he was somehow protecting or making sacrifices to save fereldan, yes its skewed, and yes, I iterate for the third time I have no idea where he got that... but the idea and characteristic itself is still admirable that he was willing to sacrifice so much to save the country he loved..

  • @HackersSun

I know what his motivations are, but it doesn't make him any less of a bastard.

You find the fact that he's willing so much to save the country something admirable, however a comon senced person would never have gone over those limits, because he would have known that there are always limits to a path!

No matter the motives, in the end he was still a murdering, enslaving bastard!

And Alistair had every right to kill him, heck your cousland was allowed to kill howe, why not him?

  • @nielsdejong Does that Excuse him from what he's done? NO! But still, the characteristic is better then tearing up about everytime someone doesn't get their way..

(-ahem- sorry for the three rep;ys >> stupid youtube 300 character restrictment! >:U)

  • @HackersSun

    That's ok :P

And actually, that is just silly....

Serieusly, the guy is a complete ass!

Alistair only disagrees with you when you go around killing puppies.

If your a murdering , then I suggest taking Morrigan and Sten in the party, they don't mind the evil options.

Also I find it strange that you dislike Alistair for being a human being, while you have no problem with Loghain trying to kill you! Bishop did that as well, he's a complete ass!

  • @nielsdejong Hey, wait, hold the phone, are you a (girl?) who actually HATES bishop???!!?!? OOOoooohh mmaaaaai~! SUPER HAI FAIVE!!!!! hhehheehhe! they say casy's is boring... but like hell! He, at least at has a wall scene and some dialogue, bishop -> "insult insult insult, I love you, but that's why Im going to betray you!" and noo indication whatsoever.. only if you counted his influence points... which I kinda was surprised when he gave that speech to me.. "ILU" Im like "WTF?!!" [hate guts]

  • @HackersSun

    HIGH FIVE SISTAH!!!! xD

I couldn't agree more :) Personally I just don't get what other girls see in Bishop... Some argue that despite that he's a total ass, there is some sort of good in him and they want to redeem him, and in the end he will have less hate towards you... But COME ON! The guy is a total ass who despite your efforts still betrays you despite all you did! And he still hates you in the end!

    I'll take Casy anyday! >:3

  • @nielsdejong YYEEAAAHHH!!! If only Casy wasn't so old though.. hmmm now I think about it bishop's kinda old too, do these pcs have a thing for hitting on people a decade a less younger then they are?

  • @HackersSun

I have been thinking about that as well. I don't mind so much in Casavir's case (damn, he's good looking for his age! :)) But like you said: Bishop is old as well :) And you know what they say about some men: Their like wine! I used to fangasm over sean connery as well XD (though I do have my limits mind you! ^^;)

And yes, Casy isn't boring compared, it's just some Bishop fangirls who see more in Bishop then there actually is XD

  • @nielsdejong My limit is five years max...

because past that.. its like dating your teacher or dad.. eeeeeeeewwwwww

  • @HackersSun

    True ^^;

However gamewise I am willing to loosen a bit :P Still, I love myself some Casy! :3

And fortunately Alistair from Dragon age IS about your age >:3

  • @Goldfishyy707

I read the story actually :) And while I can symphatise, it doesn't make him any less of the person who murdered his "father" which Duncan was to Alistair.

Face it, how would your cousland have reacted once Alistair proposed to you about making Howe a Warden and get away with murder? :)

Loghain does have dept, and Alistair is in some ways immature (but he makes up for it with his charms and kindness :)), but Loghain is still a bastard nonetheless.

  • I know want NWN 2 :P

  • When does this happen? I'm at the beginning...

  • Near the end of Act 2, i think. That's about 35-40hours in.

  • @Fomalhaut48 at the 90% of the game.

  • i always see the other scene:)

  • Bishop was so right.

My PC always got so annoyed with Casavir because he did behave like he needed to protect me. And if I recall, my PC was the one who saved his ass. My PC still had respect for Bishop even though he betrayed her.

    Thanks for uploading this!

  • @moarinternets

She had respect for him even though he betrayed her?...

Casavir may be old fashioned, but for that flaw, he has a lot more positive traits then Bishop :)

Personally I don't understand fangirls crawling over him. I know fangirls often mindlessly like the bad boys because of their primal urges, but when someone betrays you and tries to kill you like that, I would decapicitate him/her, even if it was a hot chick :P

  • @moarinternets

Well in Bishops defence, what is wrong with him looking out for you?

Sure, he is a bit protective, but he does follow you and he does respect you for that matter :)

Also if I recall, Bishop was a complete bastard who betrayed you in the end. He didn't say this to you because he respects you, he says this because he doesn't give a damn what happens to you :)

Personally I prefer the one who may be a bit overprotective, to the one who will kill me while I sleep XD

  • @moarinternets not so true, the PC "accidently" meets with Casivir in the mountains while chasing orcs, he doesnt really rescue him, he just joins the fight and then discovers that he is the one they called the"Orc-slayer"

  • bishop is so fuckin hot. :)

  • Hahaha this was my favorite cut scene in the game. XD Bishop's line about paladins' 'pent up frustration' had me rollin'.

  • What happens does Bishop still betray you if you love him or whatever?

  • If you have high influence at the end and do the dialogue correctly, he'll leave without joining Garius. It's the best possible outcome; he won't join you in the fight.

  • Oh man I love this scene. Best one in the entire game ^^ Can't wait to see the opposite although it's not as cool.

  • Comment removed

  • I really enjoyed this scene, I'm glad I casually found it here!! And I have to agree with Bishop there. :P

Too bad the audio quality is bit poor...

  • Poor Casavir...

  • Bishop pwned Casavir badly. Yay!

  • i just played this part of the game today!!

i love it when they have stuff like this hehe

  • What's this from? Were these dialogue files that were never used in the game?

  • If your PC is female and you have high influence with Bishop and low influence with Casavir, then you should get this cutscene.

  • Would there be another scene if the influences were reversed?

  • I think so, I'll upload the opposite when i have time.

  • Indeed there is ;)

  • bishop rules)))

  • I love how they battle over the Female Players affections

  • sweet I loved watching Bishop/Casavir dialogue.
