For all ya tards here that think Honda is so great, did you see my video response to this? The T/A At the track was walking Z06's, Porsche GT2 and GT3's and even an unsuspecting Lotus Elise! All the cars in the track were highly modified which made it fair game for the SD-455 Lurking behind them! So now you see..even with the Porsche's HUGE TURBOS and the Z06's Mighty LS-6 or 7 The Tin Indian's BIG BORE MOnster which is running 690 HP still blew the bejeesus out of the competition and the world!

It's the same as a 79( thought I should tell you since you don't know) Every chick I'm around or meet love the trans am and they are absolutely not dikes. a 6.6 litre pontiac is definatly a 400 lol ive owned one since i was 14 and im actualy stroking it to 461 cubic inches. i also have a 6.5 litre chevy diesel that comes in at 396 ci. theres a formula to figure it out but im not sure what it is

Well in 79, Trans Ams that came with a Pontiac 400 had manual transmissions only. The automatics had Olds 403 in them. It wasn't until 80 they started doing those turbo Trans Ams with the sluggish 301s.

its not even a real trans am. its just a firebird with a T/A spoiler, hood, scoop, and stickers. How I know: theres no holes in either the front or rear fenders for mounting wheel spats and the taillights arn't blacked out which all 79' T/As had from the factory. Still kicks ass tho.

It has the Formula hood, suspension and WS6 rims and the rest is all base Firebird. The only reason it registers as a Trans Am is because of the motor.

403 and 400 are both considered to be 6.6L. All trans ams that year came with the 6.6L unless they didnt come with the decals im pretty damn sure. I got a 79 myself with a 403 and my shakers decals has the 6.6l decals

Olds 403 equiped were "6.6 litre "decals. Pontiac 400 were " TA 6.6" decals The only way to get a Pontiac 400 in 1979 was with a 4 speed. Olds 403 motors were only available with a automatic.

Pontiacs NEVER came stock with a 454, since that was a Chevy motor. The 455 Pontiac was discontinued well before the 1977 model year, so if you are talking stock motors that car can only have a 400 or a 403.
