Its amazing how awful all live theater is to watch. The actors have to talk so loudly and so clearly and gesture so broadly that all subtlety is lost.

The woman playing Amanda is a decent actress with an odd interpretation of the character (not to mention she gets almost every single line wrong even if the context is the same - I know because I have to read this for English so I'm watching it while following along in the script to keep my focus better). I had just gotten used to her before she broke character at 12:24 and I lost all respect as a fellow actor. You NEVER start your newly-remembered line with an "Oh!"

my theater class watched the MOVIE this week and it had a really weird ending! the man said he was going steady with another girl and he left and Laura was sad and that was it! it disapointed me:(

May I point out the flaws:

1.Laura is suppose to have a slight limp (this girl from my observations is walking perfectly normal)

2.I think they are all suppose to have southern accents (not a mid-western sounding accent)

3.The play is set behind a scrim :)

overall it seems like a decent production of possibly my all time favourite Tennessee Williams' plays (next to cat on a hot tin roof)
