  • Awesome. Guy on folk guitar looks bored. He sucks that's why he was booted

  • LOVE THIS SONG! Roland caught so much that spoke for me...

  • 80s song yes, but still sound so current...only TFF songs can sound so well and stand the test of time... GENIUS!

  • What a great performance and his nose is running. Wow! I love the Rokpalast footage. I wish it was on DVD.

  • From "The Hurting " a Masterpiece of a Album.

  • @perpetual61 Masterpiece it is!

  • The influence of Joy Division is pretty evident on this song. It seemed that Roland was trying to get into Ian Curtis' shoes and it shows here.

  • By far the best tears for fears album

  • thanks for your comments

if no answer, is because I'm busy

    greetings

  • 0.31 secs, that's bill gates on guitars.

  • @jobynane Your screen name sucks. Your comments suck. And obviously your taste in music sucks if you can appreciate an artist past their first albums. Nobody wants you on youtube, and your the reason why this world is going to hell.

  • @jobynane

Are you a freaking kidding me? Their 2004 album was amazing!! You obviously don't know what you like.

  • Its just a personal prefference..dont say harsh words...a band of this qualities cant suck....

  • Thank you for sharing Gracias por compartir

    Watch me bleed Mirenme sangrar

This music Esta mùsica is awesome

    maravillosa

  • No matter how many times I wander away... I always come back to this.

    My favorite.

  • Roland always says that his childhood was full of violence.

  • i would still love to see these guys live....

what an experience that would be........

    i adore them still.........

  • Roland deserved a lot more recognition than he ever got. His lyrics say something, unlike the rubbish that passes for music these days. His voice is beyond amazing.

  • this sounds like joy division!Roland looks like he s crying....so much torment in the words he is singing

  • the voice of Roland is beautiful!!!

  • This song is the SHIT!

  • Great lyrics !

  • This, for me and my brother is one of the best songs ever written and performed by TFF. To bad it didn't go to the top but at the same time, this is one side I appreciate about that band: Roland has that capacity to create beautiful songs that still can stay unknown for commercial purposes but remain a treasure of their own and Watch me Bleed is one of these little secret diamonds...

  • it didn't become a 'hit' because it was never released as a single. It was just an album track from the hurting.

  • Watch Me Bleed is a fantastic song, my second favorite after Mad World. To bad it never became a major hit. TFF were such a remarkable and varied band and they never achieved that mega stardom that so much crap today does.

  • love their first two albums. tff ftw

  • Where can i get this full show or DVD ? Somebody please help me...

  • The Rockpalast concert is one of my favourites.

    Love this song.

  • singing this live Roland sounds like Ian Curtis

  • I always thought Tears for Fears were like the lighter version of Joy Division in some ways.

  • Maybe but around "The Hurting" period the darker tracks on the album anyway.

  • I love that Rockpalast concert, but why does that guy with the glasses look so damn bored? He plays accoustic guitar on Watch Me Bleed and he is filmed in other parts of the concert. He looks like he's pissed off and/or needs a stimulant of some sort! Anyway, that Rockpalast concert is phenominal!

  • This song is awesome! Other songs should take awesome lessons from this song. It gives me goosebumps.

  • I miss this song! It's one of the lesser appreciated gems from their debut album The Hurting. It still rocks after all these years!

  • no he's not

  • rolands crying

  • an underestimated jam, but totally 1 of thier gems

  • Totally, agree 100%

  • Roland is so cute!!! It looked like he had a cold, though....if you look closely he kept wiping his nose......lol! I love him he is so cute singing lol!!!!

  • well he doesn't have a cold he's just scratching his nose cause his hair is touching his face. and hair tends to tickle the skin

  • LOL I found TFF's early hairstyles to be so hilarious lol cuz it's all in their faces and they, especially Roland, keep trying to flip it out or something LOL!!!

  • No, look closely at 3:42, his nose is running big time. He doesn't SOUND like he has a cold though.

  • oh yeah now i see awwe the poor baby i hate colds they are terrible

  • gotta love how he flips his beautyful hair at 3:44

  • I know art4life4me, he sounds great! Ha lol I love how you wrote that "his nose is running big time". Well it's good that he was still able to go out there and put on a good show LOL!

  • For a minute I thought he was crying--his face looks wet-- but it's all but impossible to sing and cry at the same time. Anyway I don't think crying in public is one of Roland's talents, even at that age. The music cries; he remains cool.

  • I know me too, but I think he's just sweating. There has been a few concerts where it really looks like he's crying big time though.

  • Really? I haven't seen them! But if any song would make him cry it should be this one-- it's hair-raising.

  • It's amazing how you can't hear that he has a cold.

  • You know, your're right! I hear it now, he does have a head cold. It isn't affecting his throat or lungs but you can hear it in his "N's". I think peaceXlove is right too-- he's sweating, but not crying. Has anyone ever seen Roland crying in public??

  • Wait, I do hear it on his N's. Hmmm. Roland crying in public, might be interesting to see. We could try to cheer him up. =D

  • Love it. "The Hurting" was definitely one of the best albums of the 80's!

  • the best!!!!

  • A cool song, very deep,I love it, I have had a song played for me on that actual guitar,YES by the man himself!! Truly cool!

  • how did that come about? how cool

  • great track,great band.thanks for the vid.

  • Fucking great! Wooooooo-ooo-ooo-ooooo-ooooooooooo

  • T4F are amazing. i so relate to The Hurting album. They kill me, there a truly stunning band...

  • That is how we dressed in So Cal back then. I am still mad at my brother-in-law who knew they were filming EWTRTW in Cabazon and he didn't tell us!!!

  • This song is a love rejected, bi-polar persons theme song. Watch me bleed..bleed forever. Oh jeez, let me go get a beer or six and guzzle them down and go to bed! ENJOY!!

  • it's actually about child sexual abuse..

  • Desde Argentina Tears for Fears, la mejor banda desde siempre !!!

    Charlie

  • También soy argentino pero no te parece que en nuestro país todos ya olvidaron a TFF? Yo no. Junto a los Prefab Sprout son los mejores!!!

  • great song ,The Hurting is an awesome album..and live they sound the same as in the studio ..amazing, true artists

  • You are so sexy I want to do you in a 3some(me, Roland and Curt)

  • when did that sexy ass beast roland have kids??

  • In the 90s. He has two boys.

  • They were into something called "Primal Scream Therapy". This song is a perfect example of the outcome. I just love it, once you hear it you never forget it. The Hurting was simply an amazing album. TFF 4EVER!!!!!

  • ROLAND BABY HES A FUCKING SEXY BEAST

  • muchas gracias sergio...me encanta!!!

  • he is an amazing vocalist at such a young age because he took opera lessons and became amazing. If there are any guys out there who have as low of a voice as he does and can sing this as easy as it looks for him to sing go for it!! its not easy! way to go my brother!

  • there's a bunch of people who can hit lows and highs. euros in the 80s are known for that.

  • Morten of A-HA is one....The Hurting album is indeed a masterpiece. I never get tired listening to this one.....the lyrics, the arrangement....PERFECT!

  • The Cure is not in TTF's league, except for a few things of Fascination Street. Now the Smith's and New Order's darker stuff is more to my liking. This is a great song.

  • f.s. wasn't the cure's best music, dummy.

  • According to sales it was, dummy. Anything past that is your opinion, dummy. Comments and Responses are all about opinions and in my opinion, you know nothing, dummy.

  • The Hurting is the best Tears for Fears album. This song is one of the most underrated classics of TFF. Duran Duran come nowhere near TFF (to all those who think they sound like Duran Duran). It is unfair to compare a mediocre band like Duran Duran to a classic band like TFF. If you want to draw any comparisons, then I think it sounds similar to The Cure (note the bass playing and the atmospheric guitars).

  • Amen!!!

  • I mean "Amen!!!" to this post 1 year ago:

The Hurting is the best Tears for Fears album. This song is one of the most underrated classics of TFF. Duran Duran come nowhere near TFF (to all those who think they sound like Duran Duran). It is unfair to compare a mediocre band like Duran Duran to a classic band like TFF...

  • agreed

  • Watch Me Bleed is a great song, as are many TFF songs. Why compare them to DD? They are two completely different bands, and they are both great.

  • I agree that this song and many others are great. So why does most of your comment mention DD? Are you talking about TFF or DD? It would be unfair to compare them because they are completely different, and DD is NOT meiocre.

  • That was because somebody tried to suggest that Tears for Fears sounded a bit like Duran Duran in the early days (Just check out all the comments prior to my comment). So, I was just expressing my disagreement with such a remark. That's all.

Musically, I agree Duran Duran and Tears for Fears are different bands and should not be compared. But when it comes to subject matter and lyrics combined with catchy music, I think TFF songs are better and have a timeless quality.

  • Yes, I did mention that Duran Duran is a mediocre band. I regret making such a remark. I just got a bit carried away. Please apologise.

Duran Duran consists of talented bunch of musicians. John Taylor is a fantastic bassist (a fact overlooked by a lot of people) and Simon Lebon is a good song-writer.

  • Thanks for your retraction of the "mediocre" bit about DD.

I don't share your opinion that "TFF songs are better...", but

let's get back to the discussion about this TFF song! It is so raw and genuine and it strikes a chord with everyone who has felt that kind of pain. The instruments and lyrics go very well together to put forth this emotion.

  • You don't have to share my opinion. I am not here to enforce my likes and dislikes to anyone. Yes, 'Watch Me Bleed' is a great song just like all the other songs on 'The Hurting'. It is a perfect 10 out of 10 album!

  • I'm sorry but DD's lyrics have always been pretty thin, at best. I really only got into TFF's The Hurting and those lyrics are all light years ahead of anything DD ever did. Come on, be serious. Do I need to quote some inane DD lyrics to prove my point? I think you nailed it when you said DD was mediocre. Influential, sure. But DD is hardly 'deep' or 'provacative'.

  • Yes, I know man! That's what even I feel. Forget about DD, even U2 doesn't come close to Tears for Fears in terms of song-writing or music making. But you see there are people here who love all those aforementioned bands and one statement here and there could upset them. I am not being diplomatic just a bit concerned. Actually- dare I say this- even Radiohead doesn't occupy the same place as Tears for Fears. But I am sure that one day I will be at the receiving end for this opinion as well.

  • una de mis favoritas de The Hurting... gracias Sergio!!!

  • Hola sos de Argentina?

  • si vos?

  • tambien soy de argentina

No sé si seràs fan, en este ìspa nadie quiere a TFF
