  • nice video but i have a question. shouldn't the Odyssy's shields have protected it from that jem hadar fighter colliding with the main deflector dish? or was odyssy to badly damaged?

  • @crash842 a possible awnser is that the jem hadar ship have penetrated the odyssey's shileds and then hit the deflector dish or odyssey's shileds was down

  • I love the music. Better than that of what was used in the original show.

  • Not bad, but it would be good if you tried to sync what was happening on screen with the music. For example, when the Odyssey is destroyed, the music is in a calm, quiet state. The Odyssey should be destroyed at a point where the music swells dramatically, like at 1:35.

  • i love that stafleet fight to tthe death to defend earth

  • Anyone catch the super-sized Oberth @ :26?

  • reinforcements came too late!!!

  • go the federation and Earth

  • DId the enterprise D actually take part in any of the Dominion War battles?

  • @AdmPrestonCole

No, but a lot of her sisters did. Its funny, In TNG it was stated that there were only 12 Galaxy Class ships to be built, yet it seems sometime during DS9 a giant replicator was built that pumps out Galaxy Class Starships.

  • @Scioneer

actually come to think of it, i can only recall 2 galaxys ever actaually being destroyed- USS yamato(IRONY!) and the USS Odessy.

The other odd thing is, that despite miranda and saratoga class vessels being used there where never any ambassador class ships shown, despite being a newer model that the aforementioned classes of ships.

I dont recall seeing any norway class vessels either

  • @AdmPrestonCole

If i understand it correctly, the Enterprise D was destroyed (Star Trek: Generations) before the Dominion War (somewhere around season 4)

  • the only think i don't like on star trek is, that the weapons of the starfleet deals less damage as our weapons today

  • @Bifirocker Ah the good old stun setting

  • Best bit = 0:00 - 4:07

  • I always comment on this shit but itz so fukkin awesome!

  • What is the episode called where they go to a strange planet inhabited with human looking aliens, and there is a scary scene of a skeliton screaming inside a mans chest? Also what is that TV series called where these aliens have a 3rd eye in their forehead that almost never opend, but there is one scene where a human is hiding in the next room and the elien opens hos forehead eaye and it either bright yellow or green?

  • I think they really should do a spin off mini-series that is same time as the Dominion war,but don't base it on 1 captain and crew but follow many different stories from different people who lived(and died), and call it "Untold Stories of the Dominion war"

  • No the TNG movies were bad except First Contact. I saw ST:XI and I am excited for the new series.

  • Latest Star Trek movie was even worse than the TNG movies; Gene Roddenberry would be writhing in his grave.

  • although I love the Dominion War there should've been a few CUBES sweep thru. problem solved, no 1dies

  • @themainSign Space is big.

  • with all of those ships, why was the enterprise always the only ship in the area?

  • the klingons take no bullshit there the spartans of the space age go in say this is a good day to die and pwn ass

  • Can anyone tell me why Red Squad couldn't have made their own series? And I could be mistaken but didn't they have the sister ship to the DEFIANT?

  • I want my life to be set to this music!

  • POOR ODYSSEY

  • THAT IS SO POWERFULLLLLLLL....THANKS FOR THIS VIDEO

  • Awesome, man...I was looking for clips o fbattle from the Dominion War when I found this. Glad I did

  • mein Gott, this music is tremendous! "Lux Aeterna" is used just everywhere, for many other movies as well.

  • fuckin awesome, man...I was lookin for clips of the Dominion War when I came across this. Glad I did

  • What is the name of this episode???

  • Sovereign arrays are better then the galaxys, let's see a galaxy go up against the scimitar with no help

  • Now here's a problem withe the new Star Trek movie. SInce JJ Abrams decided to alter the timeline, how is it going to affect the next generation universe?

  • @martinf74 I *think* Spock (the new one) explained it in the movie that they had entered a new instance of the timeline they previously were in (ergo 2 timelines). One where Vulcan still existed, TNG, DS9 etc.. And now ALSO another one, where Abrams can do whatever he want basically without messing anything up with for the series. So he didn't alter the timeline perse, but instead created an entirely new one.

haven't seen the movie in a while so I might be wrong. Better have someone confirm it

  • @CommanderTank2k From what i've heard (don't base it on this at all) the next movie will show an alteration again of the timeline to restore it to what it origionally was. You're right though, the last movie altered the timeline, so DS9 may never have happened (i hope not though as it was the best out of them all, due to the dominion war.). If the last movie altered the time line... things would be very different, unless as i said the next movie re-alters it to the origional.

  • @TRUExSIGHTS I sure hope not. Keep it the way it is with this new altered timeline. Switching back is just going to p.o. the fans even more.

  • @Fbueller129 I hope somehow then they manage to keep the dominion war in there. The dominion war is by far the best ST storyline and character development plot out there and defined DS9. How many people think of the Dominion War when you mention DS9. Without it, i doubt DS9 would have become as good as it did really, as it was just so suitable for such a plot.

It will be interesting to see how to continue the new storyline, especially as the next one is with klingons i believe.

  • @martinf74 Alternatively, the NG storyline is already after the alteration....

  • @martinf74 hopefully they will be more hardcore and stop pussy footing about... fire first and dont bother asking questions later etc

  • beautiful song, fantastic video of a fantastic series.

  • Deep Space Nine die beste Star Trek Serie.

  • @NANOFORGE I think you may have something there, Though from what I have read, my understanding is that the Defiant was planned just after the first Borg invasion, but not built till later. Thus the Sovereign and the prometheus would of had more advanced tech that could be used. After we have to remember that in the making of DS9 and the TNG movies, nither wanted to make their ship look weaker the the others. Also in my last comment, I was talking about weapons in regards to the Galaxy class.

  • @Frank144000 Speaking as one of a group of physicists who have calculated the actual energy output in the Sovereign and Galaxy's phaser arrays, the Galaxy class, even when it wasn't fitted with type XII arrays outmatched the Sovereign in observed power 2:1. When the Galaxies were refitted with the latest technology (which the Ent E was originally fitted with due to its testbed nature) during DS9 (which under visual inspection of the arrays you can tell they're type XII), that gap is even greater

  • @fpsBeaTt The Defiant on the other hand could possibly out fight any other Federation ship due to its size, speed and manvourability also depending on the crews experience. It's not allways the biggest gun wins. For Example the Defiant charged 3 Jem'Hadar attack ships and she destroyed 2 with her Phaser Cannons and rammed the other and was still undamaged enought to Cloakand Warp home. If I remember a Galaxy class ship was at a similar handicap and got destroyed.

  • requiem for a dream is the most over used song ever. I am sooooo tired of it

  • requem for dream

  • Nice..

    Rip USS Odyssey

  • Great Job! Good editing.

    P. S.: I've heard a question: Is there any mint battles in DS9? This montage just might be the best answer.

  • Hey BNSF4321. You need to check you research. The Galaxy class has type 10 phasers. Only the Sovereign class was given type 12. It also has three photon launchers. but only two can be used when the saucer section is parked on the star drive. By the way grerat work on the clip. I love it.

  • @Frank144000

    Excalibur to fleet :D

  • @Frank144000 I believe the Type XII Phasers the Sovereign were similar in power to the Phaser Cannons the Defiant Class were armed with. The Defiant class were armed with the most advanced tactical systems the Federation had at it's time. The Defiant was out matched to Prometheus and Sovereign as they featured technology which was ovbiously improved. The Enterprise E even though the Federation don't like to call it is a fully fledged warship.

  • @NANOFORGE No, that is completely incorrect. The pulse phasers on the Defiant are no where near as powerful as the Sovereign's arrays, as the Sovereign's arrays are no where near as powerful as the Galaxy's arrays. The Defiant with ablative hull armour is about on par with an Excelsior without ablative armour (as we saw in the show). The Prometheus is a cruiser, the Sovereign a heavy cruiser based on combat abilities in comparison with a Galaxy class in observed shield and weapons output.

  • @fpsBeaTt Yeah I know that the Sovereign is armed with Type-XII Phasers which are usually mounted on to Star Bases. The Sovereign considered the most advanced star ship class in the Federation Fleet so it ovbiosu it has the most fire power of any ship. The Galaxy classes array are not as powerful as the Sovereign, where did you get that one. As for the Excelsior, older Fed ships were far more durable than 24th Century ships which is why they had been in service for over 80 years. Continued.

  • Ok, yes it's a neat song and it works for this kind of thing but enough. Can we please find a song other than "Lux Aeterna."

Much like a man who has seen too much pornography I have become insensative to it.

  • enjoyed every1 minute of the video great job.

  • good job. I enjoyed.

  • I fail to understand how a galaxy class star ship was so easily distorted in 1:28. Do they know what evasive maneuvers are? If they where not stationary object perhaps they would have lasted longer. On top of that they only got off two shots and one missed i think, Art they equiped with like, 12 phazer banks? I don know just a thought.

  • The Dominion Fighter is faster and more maneuverable than the Galaxy class is, so evasive maneuvers probably won't help much anyway.

The Galaxy class has 12 Type X phaser arrays and 2 photon torpedo tubes.

  • to all those that complained "nothing ever happens on DS9", the dominion wars had more action than ANYTHING ever done in the entire star trek universe on ANY screen!

the series went out with a massive bang

  • I agree, it ruled big time.

  • Absolutely magnificent.

Even if the music has been used a lot, this is a perfect application for it.

    Bravo, and thank you.

  • great video

  • overused music

  • music from Requiem For A Dream.

  • what is the music called

  • good job on making the video.

  • Great job! The music adds perfectly to the drama and the action.

  • only galaxy class can do that the rest of the ships couldn't

  • would it not of been a god battle plan to have separate the saucers from the federation ships that could.

  • Why would they do that? The ships are more powerful together.

  • dont change the music man this is amazing

  • I think it fits well.

  • requiem for dream work good for this mv. from all the other dominion war mv i seen, they all got crappy music. unless you got something better /equal, don't ask to change.

  • I absolutley agree mate. It seems like its on every other video!

  • I will always love DS9!!!!!!!! seasons 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 are the best of the series in my opinon

  • I've seen this music used half a dozen times with various ds9 videos. But this one has been the best, thus far. Thank you for all the effort and time you put into this.

  • yes my favoruite episode of star trek deep space nine is sacrifice of angels

  • mine is tied between the siege of ar 556 or im not sure the number but im sure u know the episode and i also like the visitor and the one where sisqo decieves the romulans to come into the war

  • In The Pale Moonlight, is the one you're looking for. :)

  • kool

  • i always love the part at 3:25 with the two galaxy classes blasting the cardassian ship.

  • the dominion war is what made me respect the Deep space nine series

  • awesome vid dude unfortunatley im new to DS9 so i dont know what was happening yet but i will

  • It's a darker side to Star Trek. Alot more battle then ploitics.

  • oh, thanks

  • I spelled politics wrong lol.

  • nah. it's ok we all misspell things once in a while lol

  • yeagh deep space nine is more down to earth its amaziong the only trek i can watch over and over again trust me the first 2 seasons are a little dry but its definetly way better form the end of 3 to the end

  • your so damn right, I bought and watched all 7 seasons of TNG and DS9 and trust me I cant be bothered to watch TNG all over again but... ds9 is something special and unique.

  • That's funny, TNG is by far my favorite of the two ... but that just goes to show that Star Trek allows for a wide variety of tastes!

  • sisqo is the best captain im sorry im not nostalgic lol

  • Sound track is sweet! Does anybody know the artist who wrote this. I have heard it before, but I cant seem to find info on it?

  • Requiem for a Dream

  • Ah holy crap!!! I forgot I asked about that. Your awesome NightwishRaven999!!! Thanks a lot!

  • I absolutly love this video, the sound track with it, would recommend to any ds9 fan.

  • I remember that in one of the tng episodes, all of the enterprise-d ships appeared from different possibilitys or whatever it was. the point is that if they wouldnt goten worf back i wonder what the dominion would do against 5000 galaxys?

  • I watched that episode just the other day. :)

I think the federation would undoubtedly win in that universe. But Enterprise would still be missing from all of the parallel universes which they originated from. So even if they would win that battle, in that universe, all of the other federations would have to do without their flagship. Maybe the federation could do without Enterprise in the defense against the dominion, I dunno, but I think they'd definitely loose in a battle against the Borg.

  • But what if the Picard's of the parallel universes stayed in that universe and was given command of another Galaxy/Sovereign class ship? The outcome with the Borg would most likely be the same as First Contact and those TNG episodes.

  • @CommanderTank2k Could the Borg assimilate the Founders? I mean they're changelings so they could turn into Species 84572 or something else that could resist the nanos couldn't they?

  • well if u watch ds0 ud see that the bulk of the federation fleet were galaxy class i think that the dominion can take whatever u throw at it even maybe the borg

  • here just use a you tube down loader then convert it in to mp3 or wave

  • Where i can get his song ?^

  • I love this montage.

  • Defiant KICKS ASS!!

  • yes but defiant has pulse phasers the most powerful kind

  • lol sorry let me rephrase that lol sorry last comment i swear lol i like voyager and this and maybe a little bit of tos but the movies are good any ways id like to clarify im not a treky but i love deep space nine its a guilty pleasure lol

  • i really really miss this show i like em all but this one was just so damn good lol only one season 2 go lol

  • who did win?

  • eventually, both sides agreed on a ceasefire after "technically" the Federation won. Earth and other federation planets were serverly damaged towards the end of the war, including Cardassia. Both factions were tired of the war, and the dominion pulled out after the Federation made a final attempt to drive the Dominion fleet out (which succeeded). The Federation took over the main Cardassia Fleet yards. And finally, the war ended.

  • Was searching for a particular dominion war video which I saw a while back and found this in the search process. Its great, good job :)

  • The best ST:DS9 Dominian War video ever! :D

  • Not downing any other videos but this one is the best by far :D

  • At 3.20 onwards - Brilliant

  • Galaxy Class Double Smash - FANTASTIC

  • Agreed. That scene gives my goosebumps even today.

  • i love the part in the klingon wars though when sisqs like i have five thousand photon torpedos and the klingons think hes joking lol

  • I love any Trek but DS9 is my favorite. Can't wait for the new movie also

  • i agree ds 9 is the best i have seasons 3 through 7 im thinking bout getting first 2 but im not sure sisqo is the best captain by the way what song is this

  • Requiem for a Dream as stated in the Video description. I have it in mp3 ans it's such a great song!

I never finished DS9 since it never finished airing here, but if I want the seasons, it's about 330$ to get the 7 seasons! So expensive!

What is exactly the episode where the DS9 station gets attacked and takes several hits?

  • its end of season 5 i think its called call to arms

  • Ah okay... Well I think it aired only up to season 4 here so that explains why I didn't saw it... but want to see it so bad!!!

  • This is defenitely my favorite Star Trek vid.

  • Фак като козунак :D

  • Great Takes, Great Music, great Cut. Best Video ever. This File is in my Favorites.

  • Of course, the battle would have been over in seconds if the Sovereign-class Enterprise-E was in it. That is one cool ship.

  • I agree it's a cool ship, but against THAT many jem'hdar warships it wouldn't stand a chance

  • it could take a few out spec if picard was at the helm

  • Yes, The Dominion/Cardassian Fleet had 1264 ships. And the Federation had 600... So an extra ship wouldnt make much difference. :)

  • did u see when the defiant destroyed i think i t was 12 jem hadar ships the defiant is the best ship for war and a ship is only as good as its captain i think sisqo picard janeway and archer is my ranked best sisqo being the best

  • ..... what about Kirk he was the best Captain :D

  • the defiant is more powerfull the defiant is the first warship starfleet developed technicaly the sovereign is more advanced in other technology but the defiant is state of the art in weaponry

  • the defiants firepower eventuaklly is dwarfed by the development of the prometheus though

  • yeagh bit the prometheus as far as anyone knows hasnt been made other than the prototype i think it would hav been a while till u saw one of those

  • I didn't realize how awesome the Federation was until I saw that fleet. The Dominion War was Star Trek at its finest. I'm not saying the other shows weren't good, I just wish that there were more epic battles.

  • great job!

  • I just hate how that Galaxy class got beaten.

  • yeh, made me feel all squishy :(

  • uss defiant, best star trek ship ever! in my opinion of course..

  • well i mean defiance class is pretty good, but there are better.

  • for some reason, I love miranda class, prometheus is cool too

  • Well since it was designed specfically to fight the Borg...it's 1/2 decent. :)

  • half decent ur insane the defiant would easily destroy any of the other ships voyager enterprise d and maybe it would have allot of trouble with the e but it could take it the defiant is my favourit oh btw i say this respectfully lol

  • watch Star Trek First Contact...Defiant is a pure fighting ship with spartan living quarters yes, however it would not take the Enterprise E.

  • i did but watch deep space nine more thorough lol becuz its equiped with the dsame weapons plus better phasers its just enterprise e is much larger so it would be easier for it to destroy the enterprise lol eighther way i think ull agree the enterprise would get seriously fucked up eighther way lol so would the defiant

  • according to star trek history the defiant was implemented as a prototype ship in 2370...also according to star trek histroy..the sovereign class vessel (enterprise E) was introduced in 2373 using technology that was in its prototype phase with the defiant.(In 2375, the Breen destroy the USS Defiant during the invasion of the Chin'toka system.) The São Paulo took it's place with a new refit. enterprise E was supposedly refitted itself in 2379 (star trek nemesis).

  • also it comes down to who is a beteer warior and commander in battle so the edge goes to sisqo with all do respect when it comes to battle picard has nothing on him

  • I like Sisko but in a ship to ship fight... Picard would be the better tactition.

  • the difant has the firepower equivalent to three enterprises

  • Or one Lakota.

  • the lakota wasnt a gunboat. as i recall.

  • Leyton gave it upgraded phasers and quantum torpedoes. It was still an Excelsior, but it was actually a stalemate between it and the Defiant.

  • oh yeah durr. i was like excelsior beating a defiant wtf. but your right. normal excelsiors would lose.

  • Of course they would, most ships short of a Sovereign or -maybe- a well-commanded Galaxy wouldn't have much of a fighting chance. I could see an Akira or Streamrunner doing some serious damage, but not many ships out there are equipped with quantum torpedoes.

  • well akiras and steamrunners and norway class vessels were designed by the PDD and based off defiant technology

  • Norway-class ships aren't as warlike as Akiras and Streamrunners, you know, those were meant to be a tad more science-y. Which is one of the reasons they made such a minute appearance on screen. :P

  • from what i read they were fast attack scouts. but your right they had more science equipment then then other ones.

  • That's what Saber-class ships were, fast-attack vessels. Norways were more valuable after the war with the attempts to get exploration back on track.

Nonetheless, Defiants can still blow up most everything on the battlefield. Except the Dominion Battleship. XD

  • actualy if u watch defiant could have destroyed it at wu=ill only neede one more shot

  • the defiant is a warship i agree the defiant is the shit and with sisqo in command the enterprise wont stand a chance d or e

  • best battle ever

  • whats the music called i like it

  • requiem for a dream

  • Second version of requim for a dream by bernard hermann

  • very nicely done. Absolutely loved the video. Requiem for a dream is a great pick for battle scenes. I do believe that having the Dominion War saved the DS9 series and I also think that the E was on the front lines perhaps at Chin'toka then naturally, they would've owned all.

  • The Dominion War did not save the DS9 series considering it only really started at the very final episode of season 5! The show had plenty of great work and episods before then.

  • I agree that DS9 had good eps before the dominion war but it wouldn't have lasted too much longer after that, without the war, in my opinion.

  • I disagree, this show ganrered some of the highest ratings in it's slot consistently every season it was on...

  • @sigmaprime25 In my opinion the dominion war and DS9 was star trek at its finest,,and the reason is this....it introduced real world concepts...that there will be evil, the other series are way too idealistic...DS9 was down to earth..
