I didn't really watch this video but who says helmets aren't cool? I love helmets, or biking gear in general, makes one look bad-ass. Warriors don't go to battle without their gear and that's what a biker is on the road, he's a warrior, that's why you are on a bike and not inside a car.
I've been saved by a helmet. Twice. God may have had something to do with it too. I can just tell you all that no matter how fancy your moves are, no matter how smart you are, no matter how careful you are, no matter how good your reflexes are, nothing will stop the stupidity, indifference and carelessness of other road users. Death or brain injury is more than likely. Even the thickest skulls are surprisingly brittle compared to a Mercedes.

According to him, I should have done something I was never hired to do, never paid to do and never trained to do. So, others were lazy and I got the blame for not doing what I was never supposed to do. But I'm OK now. Thanks.
Why is it so hard for people 2 wear a helmet.. is it so hard just 2 put it on ur head and strap it on? whit stickers and shit the helmet easily gets awesome! And when the accident happens, u don't get a second chance..
What a crock of shit - this video is of a PEDESTRIAN getting hit by a car. Where's the proof this even happened to you while you were riding a bicycle??? This is just another hoax to me to promote bicycle helmets without good reason.

It hurt,luckily i didnt hit my head,and there were no other vehicles involved,but imagin if idve been thrown into a car?,and ive still got a scar on my hip,the flesh had come away completely,i've worn a helmet ever since,and vow to always do so. Anyone who mocks people who do wear helmets,needs to know what its like to have a nasty cycling accident.

@fIea ingnorant bastard. I was an asphalt auto racer and my helmet saved me when I hit the wall headon at 70mph at a Nationals event. It was an enforcemet regulation. Should be the same on the common bike.

Helmets suck, unless you are on something really dangerous... like a motorcycle, there is no reason to wear a helmet while on a bike unless you are afraid of life and want everyone to laugh at you.
Well no one laughs at me, i laugh at people without a helmet.
Which i probably wouldn't be able to do if it wasn't for my helmet, and i wasn't doing "something really dangerous" i was just cycling to school....something could happen to anyone at anytime.

@artemisk No they dont suck.... Last night i almost died skateboarding and a helmet saved my life.... I hit a BMX rider, we were both going at about 20 MPH at opposite directions. I hit my head against a wooden uncovered pole on a ramp. I was knocked out for about 1 minute.... when i woke up I just got back up with a small bump on my head under my helmet... It could have been alot worst... take this for advice kid... don't ruin your life before it is important.

Cycle helmets are primarily designed for falls without any other vehicle involved. In many legal cases I have studied where a cyclist was in collision with a motorised vehicle, the impact energy potentials were of a level that outstripped those that we use to certify Grand Prix motor racing helmets. The tests that cycle helmets currently go through mean that they should offer similar protection to a pedestrian who trips and falls to the ground.
get a friend who has a car. (and that u can trust)and use stop motion animation. or make it perpously by having car go slow and jumping on hood and falling over side. (dont scratch paint!) and speed it up 2X

Helmet laws are a lie. The CHP lied about their safety back in 1994. If they were true, the 50% mortality rate for head injuries in cars would have us wearing helmets while driving, too.
