Dumah dialogue in spectral

Hilariously enough, Dumah can kill you even if you don't remove the stakes. His ghost will statr coming after you once this dialogue finishes.

It makes perfect sense if both demons and Raziel's bretheren are multidimensional (hence the summoning of Turel by Azimuth) but on the other hand it looks like an inconsistency. Demons shift between realms just like Raziel do, while Dumah and the rest seem to be in both at the same time. If we assume that then a question arises: where did this ability come from? Clearly not from the ancients nor Kain or any other human turned into vampire. (cont.)

@Alkoholwioslaidziwki Maby it is of Hylden origin (in the end Kain had quite a share of their blood ;)? Maby thats why Hylden denied the wheel of fate, simply because they were in both dimensions simultaniousley. Can' t really support that with evidence since we don't get to know many Hylden (which is a pity since they are a badass race). I think i went to far on that one ;). Thats what i love about this series, theres always something to think about!

@Alkoholwioslaidziwki - no, the Hylden do not have to do nothing with this. they can only exist in the material realm. Raziel´s brothers are special case - Melchiah was a pile of dead corpses so he could easily shift into spectral, Dumah was dead for centuries so he developed a wraith form just as Raziel did and Zephon can briefly manifest in spectral mostly because he became part of the cathedral himself, so they shift along with Raziel to pursue him. Rahab and Turel could not do that.

@RainaAudron Nice, thanks for clearing that up! Still Dumah case is kinda weird. Why he didn't just run away and shift back somwhere else? That should be doable with a proper wraith form, right?

@Alkoholwioslaidziwki - the thing is, he couldn´t leave the room not even shift cause he was dead. Even in spectral, he was trapped in the throne room forever, until Raziel has revived him.

@RainaAudron Right, he couldn't go through objects, so he was kinda screwed. So through evolution he found a way to seperate his soul from his body, if yes he actually broke the Hylden curse (well at least the part that ties vampire's soul to his body). If thats the case he was absolutely right saying that he is more powerful than Kain. In fact Kain's powers look pale in comparison :P.

The first thing i've done when seeing him dead was to switch in spectral world. It's only later that I realized that I could not end him that way. :/

no, but Zephon is visible in the Spectral for short period of time when you battle him.

if u use cheats to gain the phase through bar ability b4 u fite melchiah n use it in the spectral realm, melchiah will say something to raziel. Can u please try this n post it up online for everyone to see thank u

Melchiah, Zephon, and Dumah all can be seen in Spectral. hilariously enough, Kain, the Vampiric Lord and Master of the Planes can't travel between them in this first Soul Reaver.

i had a hard time wrapping my head around the puzzle boss fights since my first instinct was to always charge at them headfirst. (only to have it torn off and be sent scuttling back to the spectral realm lol)

lol when i first got this game on PS1 i put i cheats to get the reaver, abilities, glyphs etc. and i went to dumah without realising who it was and i just stopped playing the game. Now, several years later, i played it without using any cheats, only guides, and i cant find dumah.

you can´t? it is impossible to miss his clan territory - look for his purple flags north of the abyss. just follow the route until you get to a large area, climb a wall to the right and glide over the canyon.

Also, Dumah's seated position inches forward a bit so that he's seated in mid-air. Kind of funny once you see him remove his shackles.

no, you have to remove them. You can´t defeat him in spectral.
