What a fantastic film...not an iPhone or xBox in sight...too many kids these days are slaves to technology...they need to get outside more like we did.
Some interesting social history, for several reasons: 1. The belief that unstructured play in the streets was 'bad', 'aimless' or 'unsafe' and it was better that it be regimented by adults in structured activities, and 2. It concentrated on physical activities - ie brawn not brains - as if books, learning and thinking did not exist or were unsuitable for kids.
Now commentators go on about kids spending too much time inside, over-protective parents & kids with too many organised activities.

The trouble is that by the time these rugrats reach teenage years or adulthood, some of them may turn to more violent means to play around.

What i noticed was how much the Australian accent has changed. Especially at 6:00. the only person i know that speaks like this now is my Grandma.
