She shatters everything I know about "the bass and the movement." I just came here for two reasons: I like the way her voice and guitar could take over my heart. And the way LaBlogotheque can manipulate the vision of yesteryear and tomorrow.
Un des meilleures vidéos que j'ai vu de ma vie. Simple & parfait. Je vais voir Land of Talk le 3 mars justement à Québec, le vidéo me donne simplement de plus en plus hâte. Bref, bravo.
What an amazingly talented group. They keep their senses of humor which is great. Whether or not they make it to bonafide "superstardom" ,as they should, matters little. They are already superstars in my mind.
@DavidF89999 Well, La Blogothèque is a French project, so Montreal is a natural for them, and they probably got to know Land of Talk through Karkwa. That said, Do Make Say Think would rock the streets in Toronto.
@JoeJackWagner It's true what you are saying, but what I was referring to was that in the context of the project which this video is a part of, one city does not define a nation's identity so only using Montreal as the Canada segment does not do the country justice because Canada has such a large land mass the musical styles and cultures are quite contrasting as a whole from one coast to the other. I am happy Canada was included in the project, of course.
ah. i love that the camera followed that little boy for a bit; tho i do wish he would have acknowledged the music in some way...nope. he had places to go. ahaha.
at least the lone biker fellow hung around to the end - and with a thumbs up too! yes!
this performance was lovely. her voice is hypnotic. another good one LaBlog!!
“he had places to go” :) ( great post )... I also think he had places to go. I wonder if he’s going to remember that day with musicians playing in the park

@mhmmitskjay "Angel Band" is what the song is called.
It is a song from the 1860s, the most well known version is from the "Stanley Brothers", and that version can be found on the soundtrack of the movie "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" But it is very different from this version. I am not going to say which one is better, this something to figure out for yourself :) .
