Well that is true but blizzard is also usefull for harrasing later on. I mean while you expand on that spot you could harras your HU or Orc opponent with blizzard. This strategy could be really useful if polished a little bit. I am still working on it.

Put the critters on hold position, test your block with your hero, then stay close to the gold mine and mass blizzard. Make sure to hit the trolls in every blizzard or you'll die.

thanks mate! would this work with shadowmelded archers + pit lord or something too?

You need a hero with a ranged attack that can kill the two trolls before they kill you. You can try a potm and some archers possibly, just make sure you don't have 5 or more units (I believe 5 units is the point when the ogre will start to use shockwave on you)
