it's not a new one. 2008 version is limited on 250kmh. older one (2004, i think...) doesn't have any limitations.

BMW including M cars are limited from new to 155mph or 250kmh, this 1 has been de-limited... it started some years ago as a gentlemen's agreement between some of the German manufacturers,

@06saleen3v There're 3 packages: 1st: limited 250km/h, 2nd: limited 270km/h, 3rd: limited 280km/h. You can delete speed limit and can go 285km/h at 6MT or 308km/h at DCT, than you lost car guarantee.

my bad i just realized 295km/h is about 184mph...so 295km/h would prob be the ungoverned top speed but the e92 is governed at 155mph

Thank you for getting manual instead of DTC 7 speed twin clutch gearbox! Propery road driving requires a proper road gearbox - manual. Hate flappy paddles - only good for a track, but most users never take it to a track. Acceptable on the E46 CSL, but all other M3s should be manual.

My E46 M3 hit 180 with a chip. But i can't see how this car can get up to 203 without tweeking the ECU
